ParticipantPRO update previously failed using WordPress internal plugin update function. Had to update by downloading PRO zip file, deactivating PRO and removing it, and then installing the zip file using the plugin upload function in WordPress.
Now when an event is clicked on a monthly calendar or other view, the event does not load but a “page not found” error is shown.
All events still seem to be in the database, however.

KeymasterHi there,
Can you also try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins? If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. Let me know what you find!
Thanks,

ParticipantHi, and thanks for your response.
I am pretty certain the problem has nothing to do with plugin or theme
conflicts. Calendar links for non-recurring events are working properly.Calendar links for recurring events generate a “page not found” error. As an
example, when clicking a link for a recurring event, here is the URL that
generates a “page not found” error:https://uuchurch.net/event/mindfulness-meditation-3-2017-09-10/2017-12-31/
When I go in to edit this particular event in the recurring series, what I
see is that the permalink now reads:https://uuchurch.net/event/mindfulness-meditation-3-2017-09-10/2017-09-10/
So it appears that when PRO was updated using the procedure I described
previously, the last part of all the permalinks for recurring events got
changed to the date the recurring series was originally input into the
system instead of the actual date of the event. The question now is, is there any way to fix this problem short of
re-entering all recurring events?December 28, 2017 at 10:44 pm #1414326Brendan
KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for the info. Its definitely a weird situation and we do not have a dev her to look until the New Year. That being said, do you have any redirects on your site?
Thanks,

ParticipantI have resolved this problem. I started deactivating plugins one-by-one. The
problem disappeared when I deactivated the Connections Business Directory
plugin.Curiously, when I re-activated Connections Business Directory, the Events
Calendar PRO issue was still resolved, which is good because we rely heavily
on both plugins. Can you work with the author of Connections Business Directory to resolve
the issue for the future?January 3, 2018 at 10:14 pm #1417677Brendan
KeymasterHi There,
Its hard for us to reach out to every plugin developer. I will mark this as resolved since it looks like you found a work.
Let us know if you have any other issues.
Thanks,

ParticipantIn regard to my previous message saying that I fixed the issue by
deactivating and then re-activating the Connections Business Directory
plugin, I reached out to the developer of Connections. His response follows.
He thinks there may be a bug in Events Calendar PRO that is causing the
permalinks rules not to be reset.Steven Zahm wrote: @ Steve Does this occur intermittently? Or is it
permanently fix by toggling activation of Connections? The only thing that
happens when activating/deactivating Connections is that it tells WordPress
to update the permalinks rules. On activation the Connections rules are
added and the opposite on deactivation. WordPress refreshes it permalinks
rules simply by visiting the Settings Permalinks admin page. No changes need
to be made, simply navigating to the page is sufficient to trigger WordPress
to refresh the rules. The next time this happens can you try visiting the
Permalinks page and see if that fixes it too. If it does, then I would say
it is a bug with EC Pro and not a conflict with Connections. Toggling the
activation of Connections just happens to fix the issue. Hope this helps!
Please let me know what you learn. Post Link:

KeymasterHi there,
Good to know, so when you go to the permalinks page as he suggests, does it fix the issue?
Thanks,
Brendan
