    Hi Kelly,

Ok, i understand. Do you have any indication of when this may have a chance to be looked at? If it won’t be any time soon i’ll have to look into using a separate custom field for cost which would mean having to enter the cost twice but at least then and until a better solution arises i can access the cost to be output.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Kelly,

I just thought i’d feedback on this for your information and also if anybody’s looking to do this in the future. Whilst it’s not really ‘supported’ by Eventbrite it can be achieved in a slightly hackish way. You’ll find their response below:

“The best way to replicate a voucher system is similar to the way you would create a membership event. We have several superb features that can streamline this process for you. I would suggest the following:

    1. You can ask your custom questions when they are registering to get their information for them to redeem the voucher, to collect a a mailing address, or for answers to any other questions you may want to ask. To learn how, click here: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/t/how-to-create-a-survey

    2. I would suggest using our payment processor integrations, such as PayPal, to collect payment for your vouchers. This way you would receive the funds after each order was placed into your PayPal account. We will invoice you on the first of every month for the Eventbrite service fees that you collected on our behalf.

    3. You would want to set the date of your event for the entire year’s span. You would also want to hide the location of your event by selecting ‘Online Only Event’ on your Edit page. This will hide the location of the event, as you are just collecting voucher fees, not hosting an event with a location.

    4. Lastly, I would suggest editing your ‘Order Confirmation’ page and email to reflect any important information about your vouchers. For example how to redeem them. You can uncheck the option to include a PDF ticket here as well if you wish to issue the vouchers yourself. You can view this tutorial on how to edit those here: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/t/how-to-customize-order-confirmation-page-and-email

Vouchers would need to be redeemed in a manner set up by the organiser as we do not issue vouchers for Eventbrite events at present. We do have a tool which allows organisers to set up discount codes for their event and issue them to people via invites.”

    Many thanks for your time.

    Hi Kelly, Rob,

I just thought i’d feedback the response i had from Eventbrite on this issue. I submitted a support request directly with them and you’ll find their response below:

“As Events Calendar Pro utilizes the Eventbrite API it is constrained to the methods we provide. In the payment_update we have not included credit card processing as an option for fraud and security reasons as this would require someone to enter their mailing address or direct deposit information via the API. I’m sorry for the inconvenience and I will submit the feedback to our Product Manager and see if this will be an option in the future!”

Thanks for your time on this anyway. It looks like PayPal is the way to go.

    Regards

    Brendan

    Hi Barry,

I can confirm that the above temporary fix work’s for me and tags appear to function as normal now. This is WP 3.7.1, The Events Calendar 3.2, Events Calendar Pro 3.2 and the The Events Calendar: Eventbrite Tickets add-on version 3.2.1.

    Cheers

    Hi Kelly,

That’s a shame there’s no current method of doing this for Eventbrite. I think this is functionality that people would require ideally so a tutorial i’m sure would be appreciated. Is it possible that the WooCommerce example could be tweaked or is that likely to be very different? At the moment unless anybody actually wishes to book they can’t see ticket pricing at any point previous to this without the ability to access the cost. I appreciate a tutorial wouldn’t be instant but it would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hi Kelly,

With regards vouchers i mean just that i.e. people buying vouchers to be used. An example of this on-line that my client sourced is https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/gift-voucher-tickets-3873676270. My query really is how would these have been set up to be sold as vouchers. It’s not really a case of any issues with importing etc but more a question of how a ticket can be set up in this fashion?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for coming back to me. It may well be that my client chooses not to use Credit Card processing in the final instance but it seems strange that this isn’t an option. I can give you access if required to see the behavior for yourself but as a first port of call i’ve uploaded an image which shows you the admin screen within WordPress http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w464/randalldon/eventbrite-screenshot_zpsebeba10b.jpg. Looking at this image you’ll see that under on-line Accepted Payment Methods: there’s only PayPal & Google Checkout with no option for ‘Credit Card Processing’.

    Many thanks in advance.

I’ve located this setting now in ‘Display Settings’. This can be marked as closed.

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for coming back to me. Whilst i’m aware of how to get the title and image date my query relates to how to query just ‘venues’ in this. I wish to loop through all venues and output the data.

    Many thnaks
