    Hi There,

Prior to installing the Eventbrite ticket add-on i could display the event cost by calling:

    tribe_get_cost()

However, since installing the Eventbrite ticket add-on this cost is never returned and empty and so cannot be output. How can i access the ticket cost in a similar fashion to be output in any given location. We need to advertise prices in other areas apart from the ticket box.

    Many thanks

    Brendan Randall

    Hi, Brendan. Excellent question! 🙂

Once a ticketing add-on is installed it overrides the old TEC cost field. We’ve made a tutorial for how to get the ticket pricing for WooCommerce Tickets (https://theeventscalendar.com/filtering-tec-to-show-prices-from-woocommerce-tickets/), but yours is the first request we’ve had from an Eventbrite Tickets user.

I expect we could put together a tutorial for you, but it isn’t likely to be instant. I’m sorry that I don’t have a quick fix to offer. I’ll be back in touch once I have some more help for you.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kelly,

That’s a shame there’s no current method of doing this for Eventbrite. I think this is functionality that people would require ideally so a tutorial i’m sure would be appreciated. Is it possible that the WooCommerce example could be tweaked or is that likely to be very different? At the moment unless anybody actually wishes to book they can’t see ticket pricing at any point previous to this without the ability to access the cost. I appreciate a tutorial wouldn’t be instant but it would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Brendan

Thanks, Brendan. There’s a tutorial for WooCommerce based on user demand. Honestly, we didn’t make one for Eventbrite Tickets because there hadn’t been any call for it.

Looking at the snippet, it appears to be fairing plugin specific, so I’m afraid that we’ll need to wait for a dev’s attention. Thanks for your patience while we get that done! 🙂

    Hi Kelly,

Ok, i understand. Do you have any indication of when this may have a chance to be looked at? If it won’t be any time soon i’ll have to look into using a separate custom field for cost which would mean having to enter the cost twice but at least then and until a better solution arises i can access the cost to be output.

    Many thanks.

Hello again, Brendan. Thanks for checking in. 🙂

I just chatted with our dev team and it looks like this is a bigger issue than at first is appeared. At present, we’re not storing the EB ticket price anywhere, so we’ll have to make provisions to do that for us to be able to write something you can use.

This will happen, but unfortunately, it looks like it won’t be in the next week or two. 🙁 I would suggest that if you can, you find a work around for now, and then you can use the function once we get it into our code.

Sorry I don’t have better news for you, but rest assured that we will get it resolved as quickly as we can.

    Hi there,

I just wanted to pop in here with a quick update. Although we were not able to get a fix for this into our imminent 3.3 release, it is still on the radar for inclusion in a future build. Thanks for your patience!

    ~Leah
