I spoke too soon!!! Cliff, I may need something else. Please don’t close this ticket yet. Thanks.
February 24, 2017 at 1:01 pm in reply to: I need a begin date and end date to display on my tickets #1245459Margaret TehanParticipantHi Cliff, that worked. I only have the month and the date, not the year. But at least it works. Thank you so much.
February 21, 2017 at 12:32 pm in reply to: I need a begin date and end date to display on my tickets #1243262Margaret TehanParticipantHi Cliff, Thanks for letting me know that this will be fixed in the future. But I am not a programmer and I have a client who is very upset about the fact that he paid for a plugin that doesn’t work properly. I have no idea how to edit the programming to fix this issue. Can you please tell me – step by step – how to fix this? The Home Show is coming up in a week and a half and we cannot sell tickets to thousands of customers that will have the wrong dates on them. That will cause mass confusion and there will be no one available to answer calls when the inevitable calls come in from customers trying to tell the CT Home Show people that their ticket says March 3 on it when they wanted tickets for the 4th or the 5th. Please help me fix this. Please. Thanks in advance.
January 5, 2016 at 12:49 pm in reply to: Updates caused loss of styling of tribe events single event title #1050707Margaret TehanParticipantOops. I failed to mention that I reverted to previous versions before adding my system info. I have no upgraded to the most current versions of both The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro (versions 4.0.4 and 4.0.3) and I still have the same issue.
Margaret TehanParticipantHi George… I’m sorry but this still isn’t making any sense to me. You ask:
1. Do you have a page on your site called “Events” and whose slug is /events/?
My answer: Yes. I do have a page called “Events” and the slug is “/events/” — I have had a page called “Events” and a slug called “/events/” ever since I first started using The Events Calendar Pro.
You then say:
“2. If you have a page like this, and then also have the “events slug” in your The Events Calendar settings set to /events/, then it means that there are two things trying to exist at .wpbakerygroupusa.com/events/ – the true “page” created in your admin, and the calendar whose “Events slug” setting is set to /events/. There are only two fixes if you have this setup: either delete the “page” or rename it; or make the “Events slug” something else.”
But… a.) I can’t change that URL — http://www.wpbakerygroupusa.com/events/ — because my client uses it in printed brochures, etc. It’s already been established and I need to keep it that way. So I can’t delete the “page” or rename it. But then you say that I can make the “Events slug” something else.
As I said above, when I make the “Events slug” something else… like “/wpevents/”… then my page has the slug http://www.wpbakerygroupusa.com/wpevents/ — If I make that change and then try to view the events page at http://www.wpbakerygroupusa.com/events/ — the calendar is no longer displaying and instead, I see a shortcode.
Meantime, the events calendar *is* actually working despite the warning messages. You say that you are trying to fix this bug… so… if my calendar is working, then should I just ignore this message seeing as how your working on fixing it anyway and I’m not having any problems with my events calendar?
Margaret TehanParticipantWell, George… that didn’t work. I wanted to keep the page slug at http://www.wpbakerygroupusa.com/events/
When I changed the slug in the settings to wpevents, that changed the slug to http://www.wpbakerygroupusa.com/wpevents/
So… I changed it back. The calendar is still working — for now. I don’t know what will happen when I attempt to add new events to the calendar.
So my question is… why am I suddenly getting this error when I’ve been using The Events Calendar Pro on this website for years and I didn’t get this error message before?
September 18, 2015 at 7:31 am in reply to: Need to move ticket prices above the event details. #1006417Margaret TehanParticipantHi George, wow… I got busy right after I wrote to support. So I haven’t tried this yet. Will try it soon. Can you please keep this thread open for me?
Margaret TehanParticipantHi George… Wow! That’s weird! I can’t tell you how many times I tried to get the updates to work and they didn’t. So… you asked which versions are currently active… I logged into the dashboard to check on that for you… and… so weird! They’re now at Version 3.10.1… that’s the most current version, isn’t it? If it is… then I’m all set. But why didn’t they reflect that they had, in fact, been updated. Oh well… if Version 3.10.1 is the most current version, then I’m all set. Thanks George.
February 11, 2015 at 2:57 pm in reply to: WooTickets not working after updating WooCommerce to 2.3.0 (and then to 2.3.1) #941780Margaret TehanParticipantHi Donna, this is killing me! I haven’t had to revert back to an old backp via BackupBuddy in so long that I’m unsure if I’m doing it correctly. Yikes!
February 11, 2015 at 1:16 pm in reply to: WooTickets not working after updating WooCommerce to 2.3.0 (and then to 2.3.1) #941741Margaret TehanParticipantWell… I think I’m going to have to revert to my back-up. My client just sent me an email with the outstanding content and he wants the site launched today. But I’m going to keep “Notify me of follow-up replies” checked because – as Donna from Wicked Simple Marketing said above – she’s having the same problem. So I might have to launch the site and use it with the outdated version of WooCommerce and then update to the current version on March 2 — after the home show ends. Please keep me posted re: a fix for this problem. Thank you.
Margaret TehanParticipantHi Brian… just so you know… the code worked just fine. But, come to find out, there’s a setting that gets added to the WooCommerce settings once you add the WooTickets plugin. Go to WooCommerce –> Settings –> Emails –> Tickets and change the subject line.
OK… I’m fairly certain that this is my last question. (I hope, I hope… so that I can stop pestering you.) Seeing as how we only have the one event, I am using the link to the specific event as the “Buy Tickets” page rather than sending our attendees to the Events page and making them click on the event to get to the specifics. Please see: http://margare4.arvixevps.com/~cthomeshow/site/event/68th-connecticut-home-remodeling-show/
So… do you have a snippet of code that I can add somewhere – like in the child theme’s function.php page — or somewhere — that will get rid of the link just below the navigation on the left hand side of the page that says “« All Events”? I know that my client will want that gone.
I can’t believe how happy I am about this plugin working where so many others failed. I saw a review online where the reviewer wrote about the shortcomings of this plugin but I’m walking, talking proof that this plugin is far better than the other plugins out there that are available for WordPress. I’ve been using The Events Calendar for quite some time now and I’ve been very happy with it. It’s nice to know that WooTickets works so well, too.
Margaret TehanParticipantHi again… where should I be adding that snippet? In what “view”? And roughly, on what line?
Margaret TehanParticipantAha! Finding emails.php and attendee_emails.php helped lots. But instead of adding your snippet of code, I did the following. I found the snippet for the start date — <?php echo tribe_get_start_date( $event, true ); ?>
and I added a hyphen and then this: <?php echo tribe_get_end_date( $event, true ); ?>
So I ended up with this:
<?php echo tribe_get_start_date( $event, true ); ?> - <?php echo tribe_get_end_date( $event, true ); ?>
and it worked perfectly.
I hope that this will be my last question… how can I change the subject line on the email that contains the tickets from “Your tickets from… ” to “Please print your tickets from… “?
I’m thrilled with WooTickets! I tried about 7 or 8 different plugins because my client didn’t want to go through the whole ordeal of setting up a shop. But your plugin is far superior to any of the other plugins that I tried. I hope that you can help me get that last little issue taken care of… how can I change the subject line on the email that contains the tickets from “Your tickets from… ” to “Please print your tickets from… “?
A thousand thanks, Brian.
Margaret TehanParticipantHello again, Brian. I asked you if there was a way for me to add a background image to the ticket and you told me to visit this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/#responsivetemplates
So… I’m on that page now and it’s telling me to edit copy and edit the “view” called email.php. (see below.)
TICKETING PLUGINS (E.G. WOOCOMMERCE TICKETS, EDD TICKETS, WPEC TICKETS)
• attendees-email.php – Template for the email you get with the attendee list for an event.
• email.php – Template for the email the customers get when they purchase tickets for an event. This email is the actual ticket people will use at the door of your event.
• tickets.php – Table of tickets with the button to purchase in the front end. It shows in the event single, if the event has tickets to sell.
But when I attempted to copy the file called email.php, there is only a file called tickets.php in my views folder.
Perhaps “tickets.php” now has all of the info that was once comprised of three files called tickets.php and email.php and attendees-email.php?
If so, can you tell me just a few things… #1, how would I add a background image to the ticket and #2, how can I get the ticket to display the end date of the event. Currently, the ticket generated shows the following:
68th Connecticut Home & Remodeling Show
February 27 @ 3:00 pm <————————I need it to show “through March 1 @ 5:00 pm”

http://margare4.arvixevps.com/~cthomeshow/siteMargaret TehanParticipantHi Brian, I don’t see a way to limit the number of tickets that one person can buy. I only want to allow people to buy up to ten of each ticket type. Is there a way to change that?
