The problem I’m facing is that I cannot retrieve user information for events I’m listing using an affiliate code (unless I request the info from the event provider). While I automatically receive the commission generated via the affiliate code, eventbrite doesn’t send me the user information even though they came through my affiliate code — ideally, I could capture user information on my site before they used the eventbrite plug-in.

Also, on another note, when I click on a ticket option, press purchase (which redirects to eventbrite), and then go back, the purchase button has the spinning wheel of death — is there any way to resolve this other than refreshing the page?

    Thanks!

    (One more question!):

Since I’m creating an event discovery platform, I want to use my recently downloaded Eventbrite Tickets add-on to upload Eventbrite events with the specific affiliate links so my site gets a commission — however, I noticed that back in October, you did not have this functionality (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/getting-credit-for-affiliate-sales-for-eventbrite-imported-events/).

Are there any plans to enable this feature?

    Thanks,

Also, is there anyway to list the attendees who purchased a ticket via Eventbrite on the event page (similar to if a user were to purchase through woocommerce)? Ticket sales drastically improve when users can see how many attendees are going.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Brook!

I will ask my next question about tickets in another thread.

    Thanks for answering!

One more question — is it possible to create an event and only allow a user to purchase tickets if they order a minimum amount?

Also, I just noticed that the ‘distance’ option in the filter bar isn’t showing, even though I have it checked on the ‘filter’ tab on the back-end — any thoughts on that?

    Hi Hunter,

    1. It does not when I switch themes, does it mean I need to reach out to the theme developer?
    2. I will check that out, thanks!
    3. Will do, thanks!

    Hi Brook!

So after changing that character string to “D, F j,” it seems that it only affects the ‘details’ section of the individual event. Can you clarify how I can apply the same change to the dates listed in the ‘upcoming experiences’ on, say, my homepage?

Also, when events page “week of” filter is changed in the top bar to any date in the past, and then the view is changed to “map” using the dropdown on the right, the NEXT EVENT countdown is replaced with “Hooray!” and the PAST EVENTS feed disappears (I have since replaced “hooray” with a dash to hide that bug).

No worries, thank you for your prompt response on my questions!

    Also, some more questions (sorry!)

    1. Is there a way to change “out of stock” for tickets to “sold out”? Or does that also require some coding?

    2. While users who purchase a ticket to a paid event are sent a confirmation email, and get the event sent to their ‘my account’ page, can the same be done for RSVPs?

    3. For the MT filter bar, can ‘the’ be excluded from being included in the filter? Events starting with ‘the’ are showing up first on the list, which doesn’t quite work with many events.

    Thanks!

Thank you George, your responses were extremely helpful!

#1 – As someone who cannot code, the CSS developer tool you pointed out is a life saver!
#2 – Ah, I will investigate this, hopefully it’s not too cumbersome
#3 – I will take a look — ideally, Modern Tribe will create something like Eventbrite Neon in the future, which is incredibly user friendly

One last question for now 🙂 – Is it possible to send emails/notifications to all customers attending a particular event? Or do I have to copy/paste their email addresses and send using another system?

    Thanks!
    Corey
