ParticipantHi Sky,
thanks for checking with the team. I can see part of the logic behind the decision to change this but I think there are also good arguments to keep it the way it was before. In my opinion it makes for a nicer interface and user experience if the number of events below the widget stays constant at the value that is selected in the widget interface and doesn’t start dropping as the end of the month approaches.
Anyways, if it was an intentional change I won’t argue further… just wanted to share my last thoughts on this 🙂
Thanks for the support!

ParticipantReporting the same issue with event calendar pro and event tickets plus:
Event Tickets Plus: Download failed. cURL error 61: Unrecognized content encoding type. libcurl understands deflate, gzip content encodings.
The Events Calendar PRO: Download failed. cURL error 61: Unrecognized content encoding type. libcurl understands deflate, gzip content encodings.November 15, 2017 at 12:14 pm in reply to: Ticket field not showing up in event page (WPML) #1383821Martin
ParticipantHi, so after a few more hours of fiddling around, I’ve found a solution that seems to work: if I disable the WPML WooCommerce Plugin completely the tickets show up in the event page of both languages.
For the moment this is an acceptable workaround since I don’t need WPML for any other woocommerce products. In the long run, however, it would be very nice to see improved WPML compatibility… but I know you are on it 🙂
THanks,
Martin

ParticipantHi Cliff,
thanks a lot for your reply and your help! The plugin gives me some of the functionality I am after but unfortunately doesn’t let me target the background color in photo view. I tried your CSS and added it in the MY-THEME/tribe-events/tribe-events.css as follows:
body.post-type-archive-tribe_events.events-category-MY-CATEGORY-SLUG {
color: #907010;
}I’m a complete CSS newbie and this didn’t work as expected. Did I put this in the wrong place or is my syntax wrong?
THANK YOU!
Martin

ParticipantHi Patricia,
many thanks for your reply and your research. I have now identified that the problem occurs in relation with some settings of my W3 Total Cache plugin. Whenever I purge the cache the first loading of the site is very slow 5-10 seconds. It’s also equally slow if there are no requests to the site for a certain amount of time (approx 1h – which happens often now as the site isn’t public yet). Anyways, it seems as though it is not directly related to the plugin, so I’ll keep digging my way through the W3 caching options to find the setting /combination of settings that are causing the problem.
Thanks again,
Martin

ParticipantHi Courtney,
sorry, I had temporarily changed to another theme (Shapely by Colorlib). I have now switched back to Twentyseventeen and the problem is still there. I will leave Twentyseventeen activated for the next 48 hourse as I won’t have time to work on the site anyways. So if you have a moment, perhaps you can see if you can find any other clues as to what the problem might be. All other plugins are currently deactivated on the site.
If the problem can’t be resolved, don’t worry too much about it. I am anyways inclined to switch to another theme. Would still be good to figure out the reason for this incompatibility though.
Thanks 🙂

ParticipantHi Courtney
thanks for your reply!
I have deactivated every plug-in except The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO. I also tried deactivating PRO – problem still persists.
I had a minor custimization to single-event.php in the tribe-events/pro/photo/ folder but I have now deleted the whole tribe-events folder from my twentyseventeen folder. Still the same problem.
I haven’t added any other custimization to twentyseventeen.
I have tested in other browsers and devices: chrome, edge, chrome on android. All the same issue.
Any other ideas what the problem might be?
Thanks,
Martin
