January 25, 2018 at 1:37 am in reply to: Customizable Registration Fields – image upload possible? #1435501MarioParticipant
Hi Patricia, thank you for your response.
Maybe you got me wrong. I need an image upload for attendees, not for the organizer.
For example: My event organizer needs images of the event participants. Can the organizer (community events – no dashboard) place an upload field for this?Thank you

maybe I can help out here.
Tribe offers an own plugin for this issue: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/hide-others-organizers-and-venues-in-community-events/
This does what you are looking for. It works with the latest versions.

I found a great way to solve this problem.
You offer an extension for hiding venues wich does exactly what I wanted to do.

Thanks
MarioMarioParticipantHello Cliff,
thank you for getting back on this.
The first CSS Code you recommended does well to hide the forms that I don´t need (added !important to make it work). However, I have a child theme. Can I just edit the create-venue-fields.php to put it in my child theme? This would work better for me because I could also change the order of the forms (ZIP Code in Germany is written before the city).
Changes in that file work well, but I don’t want it to be overwritten during the next TEC Plugin Update 🙂
Thank you

I have many different venues and a lot of organizers (car-meetings all over the country).I think its okay for the organizers to work with the dropdown list so that visitors are able to see all events of a specific organizer.
But it would be great if users would always enter a new venue. Otherwise they just enter a city name as venue which will cause confusion. Did that appearence change? I thought it was different Last year.
Thank you

MarioMarioParticipantHello George,
thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I managed to get the sidebar almost as I wanted it. I will post the changings when everthing is done (if this is okay). I also found out that the mentioned website above has a theme with Events Caledar integration – so in this case it seems to be a feature of the theme.
There are only two issues left for this change:
1. The meta box has some kind of top margin – it is displayed a little deeper then the main event content.
2. The meta box has a three column design which is now (because of the smaller column) really hard to read.Could you give me another adwise in which direction I need to search for changing the meta box layout?
Thank you
MarioMarioParticipantHello Cliff,
thank you for your response. I have the filterbar in use already but I didn´t see the possibilty to integrate the tags this way. For me your answer helped a lot. Now I see that my post was off topic here.
Sorry for interfering.
Regards
MarioMarioParticipantI saw that realized on one of the “Showcase Websites”: http://events.eightlane.org/latest
If someone has an idea of how to set this up, I would be very happy 🙂
MarioParticipantHello Geoff,
works just fine, thank you!
