    Hi. Thanks for helping!

    1. Worked! Thanks!!

    2. This doesnt work. The translation wont show up for some reason. What could I be doing wrong? All my other translations are showing up correctly.

    3. My language file doesnt have this line in it for some reason. I have shared my language files as a zipped attachment to this post if you need to have a look at them.

Hi, thanks for helping out. I didn’t understand until now that the translations are spread out like that. Solved now. Have a nice day!

Hi, just to let anyone who might be visiting this thread in the unlikely event they have the same problem:

I tried deactivating all plugins one by one and reinstalling themes but nothing worked.

Turned out I used “Event rocket” to set the events page as homepage AND I had put some noob code in .htaccess to try to the same thing at one point (I should really keep a diary of what I do)

    #Alternate default index page
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^$ /http://bokdatum.se/?post_type=tribe_events [L]

Once I removed the code above in .htaccess it was possible to direct link to a search query.

Thanks for your patience. I created bokdatum.se/testsida and now it works, I can do a search and then use the url.

For instance, if I want to make a start page for a city, I can use:

    http://bokdatum.se/testsida/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&eventDisplay=list&post_type=tribe_events&tribe-bar-geoloc-lat=59.32932349999999&tribe-bar-geoloc-lng=18.068580800000063&tribe-bar-geoloc=stockholm

This would be really helpful for my visitors to be able to do.

In the dashboard, I get the following error message for community events (my translation):

Community events requires its own permalink structure without question marks or that the Community Events shortcode [tribe_community_events] is present in all pages.

Nothing here makes me any smarter though. Should I start adding the plugins/theme I have to see if something breaks the site?

Actually I don’t remember what I use event rocket for. But it is not for setting the events calendar as a homepage. I think my theme does that.

I deactivated Event rocket now and the url problem remains. Should I set up the test site?

Hi, I updated them all and now when I search for “Stockholm” I get this url:

    http://bokdatum.se/?action=tribe_photo&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=photo&tribe-bar-search=stockholm

But when I use the url I only get the first page. Weird right?

Thank you, I will try to do a workaround on this. But still: is it possible to make a direct link to a search? Like for instance if I want to make a bookmark/starting page in my browser, I need a link, but the long link in my first entry here doesn’t work. Is this not at all possible?

Hi, thanks for replying, now I won’t have to go through hours of not finding the solution.

Can categories be RSS? I am thinking about a workaround perhaps where I could make cities into categories and then rss them. That would be an acceptable workaround since all venues are there, I just have to manually fill in the city once more. Or can no meta from an event be RSS?

Hi, it feels like we are going in circles. When copying /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list/single-event.php to /wp-content/themes/eventica-wp-child/tribe-events/list/single-event.php the whole list view breaks. See image 386.

In image 387 you can see what the list view should look like. So just by copying the file, the theme breaks.

I tried changing <?php the_title() ?> to <?php ‘xxx’ . the_title() ?> but that does nothing. Is ‘xxx’ supposed to be replaced with something?

Also: you didn’t answer my question about default link: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/cant-find-meta/#post-1157947

Clearly something is wrong since nothing works. Can you see what’s wrong?

Yes, the jpg is the php file. i changed file extension and then your uploader function changed file name.

    Here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8Ja98OC0N1rOHZoQ3JJbklyYzg/view?usp=sharing

Hi, so this is single-event from /wp-content/themes/eventica-wp-child/tribe-events/

(uploader said I couldnt upload php so I renamed extension)

I also found this: The organizer names are not linked in the meta field even though documentation says: “You don’t have to do anything to make these links appear–the plugin does all the work by adding them there for you.”

I have not removed them, not by choice anyhow since I didnt touch core files. isn’t this a bit weird?

Eg. on bottom left at http://bokdatum.se/evenemang/augusti-ordet-i-centrum/ the organizer name “Ordet i centrum” should be linked to http://bokdatum.se/arrangor/ordet-i-centrum/

Did you just make me a video tutorial?! That is so great! Thank you!! BIG help!

I managed to modify the photo view exactly as I wanted but when tryng to modify the list view everything breaks no matter how I seem to try. I can get the city to show up but the whole page breaks apart to what is shown in the image below.

    I copy single-event.php from /bokdatum.se/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list/
    to
    bokdatum.se/wp-content/themes/eventica-wp-child/tribe-events/list

But no matter what line I try I can’t remove the line with the venue name and replace with city. 🙁

This is my list view when reseting it back to normal: http://bokdatum.se/evenemang/lista/

Could you push me in the right direction here?

Hi, yes, the city of the venue.

I basically want city on all views but i figured if I get help with these I would be able to figure the others out.
