ParticipantHi, that did not appear to have worked. Since this widget is random by category, I do not think that I can use the ID.
ideas?October 5, 2015 at 7:49 am in reply to: Event Submission overwriting bottom Widget in Theme #1011460karen
ParticipantIndeed I can. the title of the post is there but the text of the post is missing and has been replaced with the text of the submission confirmation as above it.

ParticipantHey George,
Problem solved.
Either the new update fixed it or a fresh install did.
Thanks!September 21, 2015 at 11:53 am in reply to: New version of Event Calendar conflicts with Mappress Google maps plugin. #1007181karen
ParticipantThat is fine George. Although I like the new features a lot, I can wait. It is not live on my site yet.

ParticipantI found nothing in the debug errors that would indicate a problem with events or mappress. I did notice that the problem did not occur with the free version, just when I activated PRO. It is not the widget that I use as a sidebar, as I removed the widget and the anomaly still occurs. I have contacted the developer of mappress but I have not changed it recently.
thankskaren
ParticipantI think a warning dialog box would be sufficient when the end date matches the recurrence end date. OR NEVER which can be particularly nasty.
Something like “This will create multiple events on multiple days, not one event on multiple days. Are you sure this is what you want to do? Perhaps you should change the event end date to be the same as the start date and then set the recurrence factor”
I am sure that can be improved.
thanks for all your help.

ParticipantExactly. There should be a way to prevent this, don’t ya think? Is there a legitimate use for setting it up like option #2? I would not think so.
karen
Participantyeah, that did not appear to work. 🙁
karen
ParticipantI think it may have been a caching issue, (quite a delay).. 🙂
thanks for your help. This appears to be fixed now.karen
ParticipantThank you Brian,
I have reenabled the monthly view.karen
Participant“Chenge Monday to MON” is the name of the article, but the code in this file has changed. I will try the functions.php, sounds like it might be a better option. thanks

ParticipantHI George,
I have reverted to the previous version which works fine. I think it is 3.11.1.
IF I enable Debugging, who sees it?
