Those are some strange issues indeed. I just tested this locally in the Genesis theme and it worked fine. Have you tried another theme? Are there any script errors on the page?

So you are saying you get the error with your current active theme but not when you switch Twenty Eleven? If that’s the case it’s likely a compatibility issue with your theme and there’s not much we can do to help. We’re nearing the release of our 3.0 version which may or may not fix this. Hi Scot, this thread outlines our current position on integration with WordPress multisite/network installations: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/wordpress-3-5-multisite-support/ – generally it can work but we don’t have all the kinks worked out and we can’t provide full support for getting things up and running.

Going forward we are definitely looking into improving integration but as of now have no specific plans or release dates.
