I have two different event categories. I want to list each category in a separate widget due to the type of event and the time frame (one may hide the other). To do this, I simply added two “Events List Advanced Widget” (ELAW for short) to my main sidebar.
    Issues:
    1) All widgets under the second ELAW are dropped. You don’t see it until you return to the main page.
    2) If you try to reorder any of the widgets under the second ELAW, you can’t… it won’t let you select it.
    3) If you try to add a widget under the second ELAW, you can’t – it must be placed above the ELAW ones.
    4) Any modification to the widgets after adding the second ELAW causes the second ELAW to be unknowingly dropped.

It’s a simple site w/o a lot of plugins and ZERO custom work. All stock/vanilla stuff.

    Hi lacoatingsociety,

Those are some strange issues indeed. I just tested this locally in the Genesis theme and it worked fine. Have you tried another theme? Are there any script errors on the page?

Sorry… Didn’t mean to be rude. My name is Richard and thanks for the quick reply.

The theme I’m using is the stock 2012 theme. I’ll switch the theme to see what happens and advise.

Not aware of any errors… I’ll investigate and advise on that as well.

Switched to the 2011 theme and everything worked fine. When I switched back to the default 2012 theme, it started working fine. Strange… no clue as to why it was behaving the way it was.
As for the php errors… none.

In the end, the 2012 theme is now working as it should.

    Thank you, Jonah.

Hi lacoatingsociety, no worries. I’ll chalk it up to a temporary glitch as is sometimes happens 🙂

    Thanks for reporting back.
