    Hi Wojciech,

So it turns out this string is not setup to be translated to begin with. I will request it be added but for now you can either input the translated string right into the widget in the widget options or the more involved route, actually register your own version of the widget with a translatable string. Let me know if you’d like to go the latter route and I’ll provide some instructions.

    Thanks,

    Hi Melanie,

This is how it’s supposed to work by default. The list page groups events by date. If this is not what you want, you can relatively easily remove the day date and display the date for each event instead. This might not look as nice though if you have lot’s of events on the same day…

Let me know what you’d like to do.

    Thanks,
    Jonah

    Hey Dave,

I just added a request to be able to filter the map link. Just wanted to pass that along…

Oh so the Default Events Template works?

    Hey Dave,

Sounds good. There’s currently no way to filter the map link but thats a good suggestion. I’ve brought it up with the team and will probably add it as a feature in the future.

    Hey Jason,

There’s definitely ways to build a featured slider using our plugin – you would just need to query the ‘tribe_events’ post type and if you wanted to be able to specify certain events to be included I would recommend setting up a custom field checkbox using: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/

To add sticky support you could also try this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sticky-custom-post-types/

    I hope that helps!

    Hey Dave,

You can use the other theme you’ll just need to modify the CSS to get it so the menu highlighting works the way you want. It’s not our plugin but the way you have your theme’s CSS setup.

    Hi Shaun,

Our plugin is fairly responsive right now but there are certainly improvements we could make and we do have some plans to improve things in the future. For now though, you will need to make specific adjustments yourself to get it to look the way you want at different breakpoints. Sorry I can’t offer up more. Good luck!

    Hi Michelle,

Can you please confirm you’ve tried deactivating all other plugins and reverted to the Twenty Eleven theme?

    Thanks,

    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for all the updates and troubleshooting. It sounds like it must be some conflict with either your theme or one or all of the plugins you have installed. I would start with the plugins – try deactivating all of them and reactivating one by one. I’m suspecting a lack of memory being the culprit here and the reason to deactivate plugins is that some plugins (including ours) can use a lot of memory on a server. Yes Bluehost is a decent host, but it’s shared hosting and that means you share a server with a bunch of other websites so if any one of those other sites is getting a decent amount of traffic or runs a heavy site, it’s going to interfere with yours… I would make sure that your change the the wp-config.php file actually affected the amount of memory allocated for your website. You can do that by installing this plugin and viewing the memory usage / limit in the WP admin dashboard: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-memory-usage/ – I’m curious to know what the memory limit is set to. I usually set it to at least 64mb and up to 128mb for my websites.

I hope that helps and let me know if you make any more progress.

    Thanks,
    Jonah

    Hi Dave,

Do you see the same thing when you revert to the Twenty Eleven theme?

No problem. If you’re satisfied with the support you’re getting around here and love the plugin we’d sure appreciate it if you reviewed us here: http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/the-events-calendar

    Thanks!

    Hi Sharon,

So you are not getting the 500 error any more? We do have a bug on file where if an event in a recurrence set was changed, breaking it out of the recurrence set, it will not save. Does this match your scenario?

    Thanks,
    Jonah

And you’ve properly set the LANG identifier in wp-config.php? Make sure you are following all the instructions as described in our FAQ.
