ParticipantYes, you’re right. There are some filters in this theme that need to be fixed or removed.
Sorry about that! I thought I had disabled these and I was still having issues.
Thanks. Love the plugin by the way!

ParticipantAfter getting rid of duplicate events, adding a display_errors = off to php.ini file, I was able to get the update to complete!
Thanks for the assistance!

ParticipantWP_DEBUG is set to false. The errors reported above were the only ones, and they repeated multiple times on the page.
Looks like I can trt “display_errors off” in a php.ini file. I won’t be able to try to run it again until tomorrow. Working on a live site and trying to find time when I can put it into maintenance mode is tricky.
Any other suggestions of things to try?
One thing of note is that the calendar admin shows 37,000 + events, while there are only 3300 events in the wp_posts table (via phpmyadmin). My guess is that these are the duplicate events that have been created by attempts to upgrade the calendar.
I’ll post my current system info in a separate post in case that is helpful…

ParticipantI don’t have Community Events installed yet on my live site. When I’ve tried updating, it has been by network deactivating both ECP and TEC, then deleting both, then uploading a downloaded copy of TEC, network activating TEC, uploading ECP and network activating ECP. It is when I attempt to network activate ECP that I have the issues.

ParticipantOk, We get a decent amount of traffic on the site on a daily basis. Do you think I can use a maintenance mode plugin while doing this? So, disable all plugins but the maintenance mode one, switch to twentytwelve, update & reactivate.
Thanks for your help so far. This has been frustrating because it is holding me up on starting a build on a second site of the multisite that will be using ECP with Community Events and the Filter Bar.

ParticipantStill having trouble. I deactivated both plugins, updated to 3.5 first for both. Network Activated TEC first no problem. Then network activated ECP at which time I got the Internal Server Error. If I try to access any area of admin, I get the Internal Server Error. Only way to get the Internal Server Error to go away is to delete ECP from server. Then I can install 3.4.1.
For what it’s worth site is hosted on GoDaddy.

ParticipantHi, I’ve tried upgrading to 3.5.2. I’m using a multisite setup and when I go to “network activate” the plugin, I get the Internal Server Error which locks up the admin area. The only way I can unlock is to go back to 3.4.1.
I had no problem updating to 3.5.2 and network activating on my local MAMP install.

ParticipantIt seems like it is more of a bug than a requested feature, no?

ParticipantThanks Leah
I got it updated. I was trying to find updating instructions for PRO on the site, but couldn’t find any. Could the instructions be added so I don’t forget this in the future?

ParticipantRob,
Thanks for your reply. Is there a public list somewhere of all the known bugs that you are working on? When I find something buggy, I try to search the forum to see if someone else has reported it before I post.I appreciate all the effort that you and the Modern Tribe team are making on this newest release. Having just been slammed on my own project, I know what it’s like!

Participantyes, thanks!

ParticipantI just updated ECP to 3.0.3 and that helped, so nevermind…
