Thanks Geoff, really helpful info. I’ll give the setting a try. We are checking daily for comments anyway so notifications are not necessary. Thanks!
intsculpturectrParticipantHi, just checking in. Anything on this question? Thanks,
intsculpturectrParticipantHi Gustavo, can I include a screenshot here? The image that the facebook share button is pulling is from a different event. This one is the student awards with the woolly sculpture with chair legs, and the image that it pulls is the boxy one with bright colors from the Lifetime achievement award event. So I need this page to pull the woolly sculpture with the chair legs. Make sense?
I have a screen shot if I can somehow get it to you.
Thanks so much for your help,
December 5, 2014 at 1:58 pm in reply to: Is there a way to have only one instance of a reoccurring event… #909433intsculpturectrParticipantSo, what I am concerned about is the amount of pending events in queue. I can see that approving one of them will approve all in that series, I’m just concerned that the many events will clog up our pending queue and make it hard for our event moderators to keep track. Does this make sense?

November 14, 2014 at 11:37 am in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #884969intsculpturectrParticipantHere is the fix:
file name: tribe-event-query.class.php
line number 645here is the offending code:
$order_sql = "DATE(MIN({$postmeta_table}.meta_value)) {$order}, TIME({$postmeta_table}.meta_value) {$order}";
Here is what it was changed to:
$order_sql = "DATE({$postmeta_table}.meta_value) {$order}, TIME({$postmeta_table}.meta_value) {$order}";
It didn’t used to be this way. Check out the source code from version 3.5 on github:
https://github.com/nesciens/the-events-calendar/blob/master/lib/tribe-event-query.class.php#L590
look at line 590This is definitely a bug.
intsculpturectrParticipantThis worked out. I just didn’t understand exactly how it worked. Thanks,
November 14, 2014 at 8:56 am in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #884644intsculpturectrParticipantYes, my developer was able to figure it out. Apparently the events were listed by start time? He says it was actually a bug on your end. I’ll get his description of the error for you.
intsculpturectrParticipantMaybe it is working. I search for “Hamilton, New Jersey” and “Hamilton Township, New Jersey” is in the drop down. But, when I search “NYC” nothing is in the drop down. I guess I was expecting those things to come up as you type. Is this how the feature works. Maybe if you explain exactly how it is supposed to be working, I can better determine if it is really working. Thanks for your help.
October 28, 2014 at 1:08 pm in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #844688intsculpturectrParticipantdoes it perhaps mean anything that I keep getting this error on the back end when updating plugins? (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /sites/www2/sculpture.org/calendar/wp-includes/update.php on line 295.
It also says line 119 and 457. Just a shot in the dark that this might be related. Thanks,
October 27, 2014 at 1:03 pm in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #841644intsculpturectrParticipantI thought the same thing about pie register. That was off the entire time we were troubleshooting. I only turned it back on when I thought it was all working. Thanks so much for all your help, I’ll touch base with our developer and see if this is something he can parse out.
October 27, 2014 at 12:23 pm in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #841533intsculpturectrParticipantWell, unfortunately, did a few more test events and approved them as i did before and it stopped working. Because I am not a professional developer, I don’t know enough to fix this on my own. Is there absolutely nothing more you can do on your end? If so, I will have to talk to my developer and see if there is anything he can do.
October 27, 2014 at 11:38 am in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #841394intsculpturectrParticipantI tried making all the events drafts and then adding four new events between Oct 14 and Jan 15. I approved them out of their date order to be sure. They are showing up in order! No idea how that worked. Any idea why that would happen so I can avoid it happening again? Thanks for all your help!
October 27, 2014 at 9:17 am in reply to: After latest update upcoming events showing out of order #840962intsculpturectrParticipantAlso, will deleting the calendar plugins and reinstalling them erase the info (events/settings etc.) that I have in there now? Thanks,
