Show in admin approval? We’re testing out our calendar and submitted an event which reoccurred daily for a few months and our admin was flooded with over 700 events to approve. Is there a setting to change this and make only one instance represent all of them?

    Hello intsculpturectr,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

To ensure I’m understanding the issue, when users submit events that are recurring, they are being sent as a draft that need to be published (“approved”) before displaying. The problem is that you’re currently having to publish every single instance of the recurring event?

While testing on local, I was able to publish all instances of a submitted recurring event by going directly to the dashboard and clicking “Edit All” under one of the draft posts associated with the event. I then Published the event. This allowed all the events to become published. Does approaching it from this perspective work for you?

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

I can see how that works, just wondering if there is a way not to clog up the approval process with one event for each instance.

    Hello intsculpturectr,

Thanks for following up with us!

I apologize but don’t think I’m following you on this part of the approval process. Are you unable to approve all of the events with the single action defined above? This shouldn’t need to be done for all events in the series, just for the last event and the approval will apply to every recurrence of the event.

I apologize again for the confusion, let me know if I’m understanding the issue correctly.

    Thanks!

So, what I am concerned about is the amount of pending events in queue. I can see that approving one of them will approve all in that series, I’m just concerned that the many events will clog up our pending queue and make it hard for our event moderators to keep track. Does this make sense?

    Hello intsculpturectr,

Thanks for following up with us!

So you are able to approve them but you’re concerned that due to the nature of recurring events that the way they display for the approval process could be overwhelming for the moderator when they do go to approve those recurring events?

This is definitely an understandable concern and one that may be useful for us to look into an alternative for that approval process for Community events. If you would like, you can add this idea to our UserVoice page so it can be considered for future development?

    Thanks!
