ParticipantWell ok. No I’ve never done that. Let me check.
Huiwen
ParticipantOk I will do what you said.
Before that, I’d like to just make sure that the following differences between Sandbox and Live (see pic below) shouldn’t be the source of the problem. Is that right?Huiwen
Participantand I am positive all relevant info is in Live mode (from Signature Page and Paypal developer Live mode, as your knowledge base indicated)
Huiwen
ParticipantThanks Barry!
Good news, in Sandbox mode, all went through perfectly.
Bad news, in Live mode, it’s still not working.Huiwen
ParticipantWell LIVE mode doesn’t work…
Actually, even in Sandbox, I was only half-way through. After checking out, it led me to the paypal sandbox page where I do not have an account (I’ve already used my -buyer and -facilitator account and I don’t know what to put there). As mentioned above, it’s a marketplace so three parties need to be involved, and I only have two sandbox accounts. Not sure if that’s the problem.-

ParticipantWow good news! I tested with my sandbox -buyer@ account as event organiser and looks like the transaction can go through! I will test with the live mode later and let you know the outcome.
Thanks Barry for your supports all the way thus far. Although, I do recommend you (or your team) updating the knowledge base. I’ve followed all the instructions there but there’s no word on the fact that we should use sandbox -buyer@ account as event organiser to test the split payment function, when we are in sandbox mode. It is probably obvious for the tech geeks but for non-tech people like me, such an instruction could be very helpful!

ParticipantOk there we go. Yes, I’ve been using sandbox (-facilitator@) as web admin receiver, but a real paypal account for event organiser. So which sandbox account shall I use as event organiser? How about potential event attendee?
Note that my platform is a marketplace so three parties are involved: web admin, event organiser and event attendee.
Could you please advise?Huiwen
ParticipantIs it possible that Barry you test directly with your credentials on my website? Just an idea.

ParticipantI mean, I am using sandbox ([email protected]) as web admin (email receiver), and real paypal account as event organiser. Is that a problem?
