ParticipantNico,
Yep that did the trick. Thanks!
And for me Friday was sooooo yesterday! π

Glenn
ParticipantBrian,
Thanks.
FYI adding
add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');to functions.php sorted it out in case anyone else stumbles across this post.Regards,
Glenn.
Glenn
ParticipantThanks for the reply.
Half related to my other post is the expected update to Event Rocket needed to get the shortcode [event_embed categories = “LongRun” limit=7] working as it is not working at the moment.

Glenn
ParticipantIt seems that if the coordinates in the right side column that are from Event Rocket are left blank (or zeros) then it nukes them out of the “Use latitude + longitude” section.

ParticipantSo really the only permutation I didn’t try! π
After placing it there I can see the small “indicator” change has activated so it is in the right spot – thanks! I just need to play with the conditional part.
And I guess that when the new version comes out with the different file structure that it won’t mess this up at all.
Also – maybe it would help if the Themer’s Guide was was a little clearer – I can see a but of work has been put in but it is a little ambiguous for some files. (Modules for example. π )
Thanks!!!
Glenn.

ParticipantHey – I wish you could edit posts!
For the record:
wp-content/themes/my-child-theme/tribe-events/ is where I am putting it (I forgot to add it in the reply)
Glenn.
Glenn
ParticipantBrian, Thanks for your reply.
Now – I’m not sure if I am “thick” (this is quite possible!) but I have read the themerβs guide and it confuses me.
For example:
2. Locate the files you wish to edit
The template view files are located in the following places:
The Events Calendar template files
/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/Now – I don’t have a /src folder. And in the case I have the “modules” folder so do I make it:
wp-content/themes/my-child-theme/views/
or
wp-content/themes/my-child-theme/src/views/
or
wp-content/themes/my-child-theme/views/modules
or some other option?I have tried a number of the above but don’t seem to be getting anything.
Feel free to call me thickhead in your reply. π
Regards,
Glenn.

ParticipantJust in case I was a little ambiguous in what I was asking for – The bar that has “Find Events” and the “View As” dropdown.

ParticipantThanks. I didn’t know Event Rocket had those shortcodes. I will investigate.

ParticipantBrian,
Thanks for the reply!
When I read you had a widget I did a face-palm! But I have tried it (now) and to be honest it isn’t as nice. The other one uses the featured image. If yours could do the image then I’d jump on it as I’d much rather not run lots of plugins. Also the filter thing seems a little odd – I tried filtering on LongRun but it seems to show others. If it works the other way around then it is a PITA as you would need to select all of them (one at a time it seems) and if a new one comes along then remember to update the list.
Any other magic hidden in the script somewhere that would work for me? π
Regards.
Glenn.

ParticipantGeorge,
Thanks for the reply. My log file had grown to 43,000 lines and 90% were this.
It seems the first option has fixed this issue.

Glenn.
Glenn
ParticipantStill happening. π
