Thanks – I hear what you are saying.

    BUT! 🙂

I am using a theme that is reasonably “standard” being twenty thirteen.

Anyway – I think I have found the issue. Let’s hope there are no ramifications. 🙂

    In single-venue.php
    Line that includes class=”tribe-venue-description tribe-events-content entry-content”
Removed the “entry-content” at the end.

I tried to see if the same problem existed on your demo but none of your examples have content. Maybe it is a bug?

    Regards,

    Glenn.

Hi Brian – Sorry to bombard you with so many questions.

I am using twenty thirteen theme so I figured the compatibility issues would be reduced.

I was excited to hear you only saw 2 columns and thought maybe something I did resolved it. As it turns out I guess you are not using Safari. Firefox does indeed show it with 2 columns where Safari (v8.0.1 – Somehow I got in the developer preview group) puts in 3.

    I checked on other devices:
    iPad (v8.1) – 2 columns – OK
    Windows 7 Internet Explorer – 2 columns – OK
    Mac OS 7.5.1 Safari – 2 columns – OK

It only does it when displaying Categories. The home page that just shows the events as photos works out ok.

Are you able to have another look into this and see if given this information makes something stand out?

I have noticed that it works OK if the category exists even though there are no events in it but if the category doesn’t exist or is spelt wrong it messes up the layout.

I guess this is a very tiny bug that wouldn’t normally exist but you might want to put it on the todo list.

FYI – I use Events -> Settings -> Display -> Events Template -> Default Page Template.

If I change to Default Events Template it seems to behave better.

OK – I read the instructions [shock horror!] and discovered that
Display Settings -> Events Template -> Default Page Template
does what I was looking for. 🙂

    Thanks – As you were!
