I have some events without a venue. Those are showing up on the map with the Lat/Long 0 coordinates that you mention above.

Obviously events without a physical venue should not show up in the map view at all, particularly not on the equator.

This problem is being exhibited on your own demo site, wpshindig.com, as well. It is not a theme or browser conflict, as numerous people are seeing it on a variety of sites.

Your own demo site at wpshindig.com is showing this exact same error. I visited http://wpshindig.com/events/ on both my iPhone and desktop. Both are showing today as Oct 1 (it is October 5)

Please get on this bug ASAP. It makes the plugin unusable and unreliable to have inaccurate calendar rendering.

Now the event calendar (both main calendar and mini calendar widget) show today (Saturday, October 5) as the first day of October and shows the 5th as next Wednesday. The issue shifted by a day at midnight.

I have this exact same problem. My calendar is showing today (Friday, October 4) as a Monday! Hitting refresh seems to reset the days correctly, but having the days of the month be incorrect is a disastrous bug for a calendar plugin.

Also, unchecking the “include events in the main blog loop” returns the calendar at /events/ to proper functioning.

Well, your snippet appears to have fixed the static homepage option, but now creates another problem. When I activate the snippet as you provided, the calendar page at /events/ no longer works.

I have the same bug. When “include events in main blog loop” is checked, the plugin overrides my home page completely. I have a custom home page, but it gets replaced with a “page of posts”. Obviously this is a showstopper. We need the ability to include events in the loop AND not mess with our home page settings. Please advise on a fix for this ASAP.

Got it. It’s OK to close, provided that the fix you mention is indeed in the next release 🙂

That does look like symptoms of the same issue. With a unified tag taxonomy like you’re using now, the correct tag URLs should always be http://mysite.com/tag/food, etc.
Appreciate the upcoming fix. I’m willing to hack around it in the mean time, if there is some quick direction on exactly where this gets introduced into nav menus and tag clouds. (It also happens when using “the_tags” WordPress function.)

After some more testing, I think I found the source, but need help on a fix. It does not appear to be rewrite-related, rather it is the getLink function (line 2372 in the semi-pretty permalink settings). I think it also happens in the uglyLink function. Both are adding in the events slug. For example, with no permalinks, the tag archive URLs become:

    http://mysite.com/?post_type=tribe_eventstag/food/

    The correct URL should be:
    http://mysite.com/?tag=food

Hopefully someone there can tell me where this is getting applied to all of the term links in a post object and how to fix it.

After testing some more, this is actually a showstopper to deploy on our site. We use a dropdown menu structure that contains links to 30-40 tag archive pages for navigation purposes. When in a single event page or viewing any of the calendar views, your plugin stomps on those URLs in my menus, adding the extra “/events/” to the URL and rendering them useless. It does the same thing in a tag cloud (though I don’t actually use tag clouds).

I’m pretty sure this is rewrite-related, but I can’t figure out where exactly the rewrite is happening. Looks like you’ve worked on this in the past: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-rewrite-issues-with-custom-menus

The start of a solution, but this introduces other challenges. I have a variety of archive pages, so I’m going to have to futz with this to see if events can appear in all of the loops I’m using, which is quite a few.

All of my posts and page have meta data associated with them. Specifically, I always craft a custom meta description, and post image/image title for SEO purposes. As a custom post type, none of that additional meta data is available.

Suggestions for how to add back in? I’m guessing that many people will want their events to be able to use custom meta data from plugins like Yoast SEO, Headspace, or theme-included SEO metadata from the more sophisticated themes.

Rob, I get a 404 on my end.

Any updates here? Would love to find some way to make this work. About half of the posts in my blog loop are events, and the other half are not. I don’t want to affect the flow of posts and don’t want two destination pages for the same event hitting Google.

Also, I already have a couple of post taxonomies in use. For example, one taxonomy is for neighborhoods. I tag the neighborhood for both event and non-event posts related to that neighborhood. I don’t want a separate event taxonomy, as I use this to pull posts into other neighborhood-related pages. As you have it now, the event taxonomy is specific to events and independent of the other post taxonomies that I have.
