ParticipantDear Geoff B.
Thank you for the updates, and you are right the problem was with the SSL. Had to rebuild the database so that all http:// where now https://.
Once that was done it worked on the test site. So did it on the main one and it worked.
Thank you again for the help.

What do you make of this?

ParticipantHi Geoff B.
Ok, got the SSL sorted on the server and when I enabled SSL via iThemes Security Pro the RSVP edit stopped working.
Will try the SSL Insecure Content Fixer and see if that will fix the problem.

ParticipantDear Geoff B.
Just purchased a SSL cert for the test site. Might take some time to get it installed. Will update once it has been installed.

Yep, confirmed that supercache is not a problem. Will have to do more testing on the ssl stuff.

ParticipantDear Geoff B.
Don’t worry you are only a month late for a belated Thanksgiving note. ( I am Canadian, Thanksgiving was on Oct 9th) 🙂
Got the test site up and working, tried to edit the RSVP and it worked. The only difference is SSL and supercache. I removed supercache as it was set for the main site. Will reinstall it as to confirm that is not a problem.
Will do a bit more testing and see what I find.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
This is just an update. I was able to move the site over to my testing server, which took sometime as the database has a collation mismatch error. So had to solve that first utf8mb4_unicode_ci vs utf8mb4_unicode_520_ci, just more fun.
I will be turning on and off plugin’s to see if that will help. Will update more tomorrow.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thank you for then update on the mixed SSL. I thought I had fixed it, but i guess i didn’t do the save. That has been fixed and SSL is looking alright.
I will make a staging site to help with the testing, but i was looking on another site i have running and it seems that when i create a ticket it will also showing the follwing
“Attendee Information:
Request information for each attendee during registration
The name and contact info of the person acquiring tickets is collected by default ”This does not show up, when i try and create a ticket on the problem site.
Let me finish up this staging site so we can do more testing.
Dave.

ParticipantSorry for Jumping in on this thread, but I have the same problem. Just noticed it yesterday with one of the sites i am working on. Been reading through the forums and found a few posts which might fix the problem. Have not tested it, as still reading and trying to find the first post.
Ticket disappeared from event,Selecting 'Edit' grays everything out

ParticipantDear Geoff,
What you say is what I was guessing, what we have decided to do is to just redirect the whole page to a login page. That will solve most of the problems.
A usually you are the best.
Thank you so much for your time.

ParticipantDear Geoff,
I tried your new template, which did not work. If I use “Hide completely” the content will not show up.I see your point with regards to members. So I will start looking for a new solution.
Thank you again for your help. Really Thank you

ParticipantDear Geoff,
Thank you for your template, I was able to get it installed but it did not solve the problem. Any other cool idea?
