This plugin has given me zero issues up until now. For the last few days (it seems) I haven’t been able to edit existing tickets in existing events. When I click on the ticket to edit, it simply turns opaque grey and then freezes up. Is this due to a recent update? Thank you for your time and help!

Good afternoon Chuck and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the tickets no longer being editable on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1. A conflict with another plugin
    2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
    3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1. Make a backup of your database
    2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

I am a web developer and I am having this same issue on multiple sites. On every site, I am having issues with the ticket images not showing up in the cart. My point is that Event Tickets Plus is having multiple issues across multiple sites. BTW, all these sites have themes that declare compatibility with The Events Calendar (i.e. they follow your published rules for development)

So here’s my gripe, if Event Tickets Plus will only work on default WordPress themes, then I don’t understand why I am paying for this plugin. This is not an isolated issue. I would like you to look into why this issue is persisting specifically on this site (fabricateboulder.com) with this theme. If you would like me to list all the other sites that are having the same problems, I can do that as well.

I am about done with Event Tickets Plus! I have been a big fan of The Events Calendar for more than a year now, but if you guys can’t fix some of these development issues with Event Tickets Plus, then I will have to look elsewhere for a solution. Thank you!

    Hey Chuck,

Thank you for taking the time to writing back.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Having this issue on multiple site must be terribly frustrating.

With that in mind, Event Tickets Plus does work great with most WordPress themes out there.
    Not just with default ones.

That being said, with the shear number of WordPress themes out there and customizations, the truth is that as much as we try our best, we might conflict with some of them from time to time unfortunately. Even the ones that are deemed compatible with our plugins.

What I can tell you however, is that as much as we can, we try to troubleshoot and fix those incompatibilities as we find them.

This is why I was recommending going through the testing for conflicts procedure.

By the sound of it, if we can work together at identifying the cause of this, I am pretty sure you can apply this to all of your sites.

Aside from the testing for conflicts procedure, there is something else that caught my eye (but it might not be related). I notice you are using the WordPress HTTPS plugin.

I am not sure exactly how your SSL installation is setup, but we have seen some odd behaviours on some installations with mixed content on certain pages. You could try the following plugin to investigate: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/

    Best regards,

You are a genius! The SSL settings were the issue. I am now using the Really Simple SSL plugin. Much better. This is the kind of support that I needed! Thanks again!
