JosiahParticipantI *fixed* this by adding the code below to my wp-config.php file. The plugin activated and the front end worked. It also fixed another issue I was having with my theme.
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
The site was recently migrated to new hardware by Verio, so that would explain the change.

JosiahParticipantThat’s a good idea. I do also think an option to add noindex meta tag to old events would be nice to keep those pages from staying in search results.
JosiahParticipantYes, I have that tab/screen and have entered my Facebook API information.
JosiahParticipantThanks
JosiahParticipantThanks for confirming what I already suspected. Hilariously, Constant Contact’s own blog RSS feed fails the same (improper) check.
For those who are curious, this is the proper RSS feed validation tool: https://validator.w3.org/feed/

JosiahParticipantBummer. Next time I perform maintenance for this client, I will try these steps.

JosiahParticipantI had this same issue, was running 3.10 and the license key was not saving. I would enter it, save, would get an AJAX “success” but when I revisit the page, the key is gone and the auto update not available for the core pro plugin.
I just manually updated to 3.12. I attempted to save my license key, but the same issue persists.
Hosted at WPEngine – I run the Community Events addon and that does not exhibit the same behavior (license key is saved).
JosiahParticipantI figured this out. Multiple version of jquery which I luckily could disable (by creating a specific Events header/footer template) in order to restore the AJAX Past/Next Event links.
