ParticipantSame problem here. But, I have 218 Venues? Every now and then I click the Fix button a few times. Glad it’s not just me. 🙂

ParticipantUpdate: I’m now using Headway Themes and am still working on getting the plugin, Category Colors, working completely. At this point, the Legend and effects are not showing, although the category colors do work on the grid view calendar itself.
Laura
ParticipantDidn’t think of that! Must remember for next year . . .
Laura
ParticipantAll set now. For others reading this thread, I emailed support following Barry’s instructions.
Purchased a new Events Calendar Pro, using the discount code provided via email from support.
Wasn’t able to do an automatic update via WordPress back end, so downloaded the zip file from my Modern Tribe account download list.
Then uploaded via WordPress back end – plugins > upload new plugin – checking “Yes”, this is an update to a current plugin.
Then replaced the old license number with the new license number provided via purchase confirmation email. Plugins > The Events Calendar Pro > Settings > Licenses

ParticipantP.S. I had searched the Forums and FAQs, but couldn’t find anything. Thanks for the link.
Laura
ParticipantThanks! I’ve sent an email and also read the FAQ.

ParticipantOkay Andy and Rob. As I told Andy via email, while thanking him profusely for all his help – When in doubt, read the directions! Took about 5 minutes watching the first video in Jonah’s tut and I’m all set. Now on to customizing the CSS! Woo Hoo! Happy Camper!! http://carolinaepicurean.com/events/

ParticipantI’m going to switch to a support forum for further discussion of this issue, since this is a showcase thread.
Laura
ParticipantAndy, where can I find your contact info? My email is [email protected]
Laura
ParticipantThanks so much, Andy. I’ve activated the automatic update to The Events Calendar Category Colors v1.3.
I’m not sure where to add “to the template”? Do you mean in the “Add HTML before calendar” under The Events Calendar Settings > Template tab?
I didn’t get an error message when I installed the CSS plugin. But I’m having some problems adding the “events” folder in my theme’s main directory. When I do, it breaks my calendar. Currently working on figuring it out. Once I get that fixed, I’ll try the CSS plugin again.
Thanks for offering the contact off list. I’ll take you up on that if I continue to have problems.
Laura
ParticipantI’m now using your plugin, Andy! Thanks so much for creating it. I also tried your custom CSS plugin, but for some reason, couldn’t find the file on my server. Won’t give up, though. Love not having to make an extra “events” folder, etc.
My calendar (http://carolinaepicurean.com/events/) could look MUCH better, but I’m working with limited coding knowledge. The Events Calendar is still the best calendar “out there”.
Laura
ParticipantChristina, if you’re still following this thread, I’d like to ask you a couple questions on how you color-coded your categories. Been trying, but haven’t been able to get the great look you’ve achieved. If you’re able to help and email works better, let me know. Thanks, Laura.
Laura
ParticipantThanks, Rob. Looks like everything is copacetic!
The test user I set up must have been “off”. Maybe some setting issue or something. We’re all good now, so I’m calling it fixed.
Thanks again,
LauraLaura
ParticipantChristina, I really like the way you organized and colored categories and “sub-categories” on the spectumsportsacademy.com/events calendar. Compact and very user-friendly. Re NC food events: I’m anxiously awaiting Community Events add-on for my calendar as it’s growing from covering the “tip of the iceberg” to numbers of submitted events that aren’t always easy to keep up with on a manually entered basis.
