Jonathan MartinParticipant
Great – thanks Julie!
Jonathan MartinParticipantPerfect – thanks Julie.
Just to confirm 100% (but I think I know the answer) – the actual sale of tickets is still handled through EventBrite and the WordPress site will essentially link through to the ticket sales pages on EB?
Thanks.
Jonathan MartinParticipantThat’s what’s really confusing me! When I go to Events -> Settings, I have no default tab. I only get General & Template & Help.
See here: http://imgur.com/SVM4nHb
Am I missing something obvious?
Jonathan MartinParticipantNo problems at all! It’s a superb system (include the main events plugin) and am really happy with it.
Uservoice suggestion created 🙂
Jonathan MartinParticipantHI Jonah,
That does help indeed. It wasn’t the answer I was hoping for but at least I know what to expect. 🙂
Thanks!
Jonathan MartinParticipantBy the way, plugin versions are:
Events Calendar Pro: 2.0.11
Facebook Events: 1.0.5Thanks
Jonathan MartinParticipantStrange – I couldn’t reopen this topic so started another one somewhere!
I’m now running the latest version and am still getting duplicates. It runs fine for 3-4 weeks then seems to duplicate all current events 3-4 times. I’ve kept a copy of the database if it’s any help?
Disabling all plugins on the site in question (eddytm.com) isn’t an option I’m afraid, but if you think it’s practical to run the sync from both the live site and our development server then I’m happy to disable the plugins on our dev server.
Thanks,
JonJonathan MartinParticipantSorry, I never got back to you on this. It seems to have fixed the problem, will keep an eye out in case we get further problems. Thanks!
Jonathan MartinParticipantOK cool, that’s vaguely like how I thought we’vd have to do it. I’ll investigate and thanks for the advice.
Jonathan MartinParticipantThat worked perfectly. There is one issue with my code and that’s that the else statement sets ALL titles except for the ECP titles to be Events | Blogname. So I’ve removed that and it’s working fine.
Thanks for all your help.
Jonathan MartinParticipantHi Barry,
I never actually got to the bottom of the issue, and we’re not actually not using the plugin for one of the child sites in our multisite so we don’t technically have the issue any more.
Don’t worry – it was fresh information from the client rather than ECP not doing what we need. It’s a great plugin!
So yeah, feel free to mark as closed and I’ll revisit later if needs be.
Thanks.
Jonathan MartinParticipantHey Jonah,
That worked perfectly! Interestingly, and I assume it’s because of Yoast SEO, I still needed to call get_bloginfo(‘name’) in the filters, even though it’s still being called in header.php.
Here’s the code I used in the end: https://gist.github.com/3712948
Note for anyone else reading, there’s lots of redundancy in this code as I haven’t fixed the page titles yet, but if you are only using a couple of different page titles then you can cut down the number of elseif conditions.
The only thing I haven’t been able to do with the conditional wrappers you provided was past events. I’m not actually too worried about that in this case, but it’d be useful to understand for the future.
Thanks for all your help!
Jonathan MartinParticipantAll done. Thanks Jonah!
Jonathan MartinParticipantI hadn’t, but I’ve just tried it and it made no difference I’m afraid.
Jonathan MartinParticipantHI Jonah,
Thanks for getting back to me. The fancy quotes are only an issue because I’ve copied from my development environment into the comment reply box here. They’re fine in my source but to make sure we’re totally clear, I’ve put them here: http://pastebin.com/P66sGWLcAnd to confirm: yes, I’m trying to change the tag.
Cheers.
