ParticipantThank you for your response Barry.
No, I have not found a pattern, or why all of the events would disappear like this. Did you read the previous thread of all the things we tried? https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-have-disappeared-from-the-calendar/#post-1299901, just want to make sure.
I have a copy of a recent working database, but have not backed one up when it’s broken. I can do that when/if it happens again.
I am questioning your comment about “outside the clean up” settings on reocurring events.
Here is what those settings are set to:Clean up recurring events after 12 months. Automatically remove recurring event instances older than this
Create recurring events in advance for 12 months. Recurring events will be created this far in advanceDo you recommend changing that?
Thank you, Krystal

ParticipantExcellent Courtney, I have disabled the three plugins you requested, re uploaded an old database to get the events showing again, and now we wait. I’ll let you know, thanks! Krystal

ParticipantGood morning! I checked the site this morning and the events have disappeared again.
I see no log or errors anywhere from the WP_DEBUG we enabled. Is there a particular place those would be?
I’m going to leave the website broken so you can see it…Let me know what else to do, thanks!

ParticipantHello!
I opened the config file and turned the WP_debug to “true” and then opened the website and navigated through all pages, I saw no errors. Having not used the WP_debug function before, I googled a bit about it and looked for any logs that could have been created in the ftp and did not see any either. I waited another 20 minutes and tried again, nothing. Finally, I swapped to the default theme and did the same, no errors.
To be clear, I currently have the events displayed because I reverted to the old database. Should I wait and try this above test again once I notice that it has disappeared?Any other ideas? Thank you very much!

ParticipantHello Courtney!
Yes, they are randomly disappearing when we’re not on the site. I have submitted events myself and it’s not breaking it, so I’m unsure of where it’s happening. It seems to drop every 3-4 days, and all I do is reupload a new database and it reverts back to good. This means we’re not getting any new events, but at least the site has some events and looks usable.
When I disabled the plugins and cleared the cache it was about 20 minutes? I gave up and flipped it back so the site wouldn’t appear broken.
Let me know what else I can try, thanks! Krystal

ParticipantThank you, I just tried all of that.
I activated the default 2017 theme, deactivated all plugins except the four Events Calendar theme, cleared cache in two different browsers, and the events are still not showing on the calendar.
I just put everything back so at least it looks like their normal site.We are not using the Event Aggregator.
Yes, there are recurring events.Let me know what else I can try, thanks!

Thanks for all your help.Becky Raney
ParticipantHi George,
It looks like I will have to start from scratch.
I’ll be clearing all website files from my hosting server and start anew.
I so appreciate all your help with this and let you know how it turns out.
Thanks.Becky Raney
ParticipantHi George,
Yup, lots of errors. I may have to start from scratch … which is alright because I only have to recreate one page.
Let me know if the errors below tell you anything different:

There was a problem submitting your event, please try again.Becky Raney
ParticipantThanks George:
I switched themes again (from AccessPress Light to TwentySixteen), and this was the error message I received when I tried to submit an event:
There was a problem submitting your event, please try again.
File doesn’t exist?I also had a web developer friend look at what might be happening, and this is what they found out:
– I found that you can’t make any posts, whether in events calendar, or regular WordPress posts.
– I tried deactivating the plugins, and the problem persists.Hopefully this information helps your developers.
I really need to make this site live. The local chamber of commerce is waiting.
Thanks.Becky Raney
ParticipantHi George,
Per earlier message on this thread –
@Becky, earlier you mentioned this:I finally had some time to test for conflicts.
Unfortunately, the issue has not been resolved.☝️ When you performed these tests, did you still find the error messages you report elsewhere in this thread? ERROR MESSAGES REMAINED
Or did issues persist, but this error was no longer visible, etc.?
ERROR REMAINED AND STILL VISIBLEAny variation or details are worth sharing…just curious about what exactly you found.

ParticipantGood Morning George,

ParticipantHi George,
Issue has not been resolved … I try to change the email notification to another email address, I’ve tried adding another email address to the notification; and have even changed my email address in the eventcalendar.com My Account settings to see if that affects it … no luck.
The Community Events Settings page does not save new entries.
Please advise. Thanks.I also get the following message when an event is submitted:
Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in /home/whatcalendar/whatcalendar2/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Linked_Posts.php on line 510
