ParticipantHi George,
Per earlier message on this thread –
@Becky, earlier you mentioned this:I finally had some time to test for conflicts.
Unfortunately, the issue has not been resolved.☝️ When you performed these tests, did you still find the error messages you report elsewhere in this thread? ERROR MESSAGES REMAINED
Or did issues persist, but this error was no longer visible, etc.?
ERROR REMAINED AND STILL VISIBLEAny variation or details are worth sharing…just curious about what exactly you found.

ParticipantHi Daniel,
Thanks for chiming in here. To help us best provide support for your issue, without detracting from assisting Becky in this, her thread, can you please open a new thread on these forums that describes your problems in completion?
Please post your “System Information” if possible (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/) and share screenshots. (You can do so by uploading the screenshots to this thread. If you have issues with that, you can upload to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.)
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @Becky,
Thank you for your patience here. I unfortunately am still not able to reproduce your original issues. 🙁
I am reaching out to some developers on our team for further insight on this, and will update this thread with any information based on what I learn.
Sincerely,
GeorgeJune 15, 2016 at 3:36 pm #1127605Becky Raney
ParticipantThanks George:
I switched themes again (from AccessPress Light to TwentySixteen), and this was the error message I received when I tried to submit an event:
There was a problem submitting your event, please try again.
File doesn’t exist?I also had a web developer friend look at what might be happening, and this is what they found out:
– I found that you can’t make any posts, whether in events calendar, or regular WordPress posts.
– I tried deactivating the plugins, and the problem persists.Hopefully this information helps your developers.
I really need to make this site live. The local chamber of commerce is waiting.
Thanks.June 15, 2016 at 4:01 pm #1127612George
ParticipantThank you for sharing this information, @Becky. If you cannot even make posts in the admin, then this hints at deeper problems on your site.
Do any errors pop up on your site if you head to your site’s wp-config.php file and change this line of code:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);to this:
define('WP_DEBUG', true); That will display PHP errors if any exist, which might be quite useful here.

ParticipantHi George,
Yup, lots of errors. I may have to start from scratch … which is alright because I only have to recreate one page.
Let me know if the errors below tell you anything different:

ParticipantI’m sorry about the persistence of this bug, @Becky. I have continually failed to recreate your issue—for me, the Community Events settings always work.
It may be worth deleting the existing versions of The Events Calendar and Community Events off of your site; this will not delete any events data.
If you delete these plugins, and then install them “freshly” on your site, does anything improve? You can get fresh copies of the files for The Events Calendar here and for Community Events here.
Sorry for the trouble here!

ParticipantHi George,
It looks like I will have to start from scratch.
I’ll be clearing all website files from my hosting server and start anew.
I so appreciate all your help with this and let you know how it turns out.
Thanks.June 16, 2016 at 1:13 pm #1128136George
ParticipantI am very sorry about the nature of these problems, Becky. Your patience and persistence means a lot, so please do keep us posted on things from here as you go about starting over from scratch.
