Hi
Thanks for the info.
Will try the coming weeks your solutions and test models out and see what i can find out.For the other problem i was using .tribe-events-nav so .tribe-events-sub-nav did the trick.
I put this post as resolved because half is solved and other half i will test the coming weeks.
Also, keeping a post long open isn’t interestingThanks.

Thanks for fast reply.
1.
Our template is quite complex because of the complex structure from our organisation.
So, changing to the mostly ‘bad’ build ‘twenty-sixteen’ or other templates shows almost nothing anymore.2.
I test always in Safari, Firefox and Vivaldi. Vivaldi always with clean cache and cookies.Where in the code i can get the upper ‘Previous Events’ link out?
So, difficult to find and every big update on another place?Regards
beeldenstormParticipantHello Jennifer
Thanks, you very much, you are the master! My stupid fault, i was doing it with without the
div
before#tribe-events-photo-events
. Thediv
did the trick.Kind regards
beeldenstormParticipantIt seams that a corrupt .htaccess file was the problem. Why only with latest version is a mystery. 🙂
Deleting the .htaccess and putting back from a backup did the trick.beeldenstormParticipantNobody?
Meanwhile while waiting i have checked the forum and the internet. No, solutions at all to find. So, when i try to update from 4.3 to 4.4 or higher (latest also!) the website goes complete blank!
Website front-end and back-end are gone, blank, only white browser window, no errors, except:
HTTP ERROR 500This also with fresh installed standard WordPress theme?!
I know it’s vacation but when i pay for a plug-in, i want support and get a solution.
Regards
beeldenstormParticipantMeanwhile i have managed to do a test with standard wordpress theme and still complete blank website after update from 4.3 to 4.4 or higher.
beeldenstormParticipantOk, i will update the WordPress installation.
I have double checked and the quotation marks are the “straight” ones.
To implement short codes i use always the “Text” tab.
Was thinking that it wast possible in the other way.I will check your other possible solution above more deeply and if that doesn’t work, then i will have to redesign the all theme from the newest WordPress theme.
Hopefully not, but when there’s no solution we have to go for the hard change.beeldenstormParticipantHi
I have checked all what you have replied.
My intention was to do a update when all was working.4.3.10 is for me not so outdated. 🙂
What do you mean by “…issue with the quotation marks…” exactly?
I have typed the shortcode, so also the quotation marks, by hand. So, no copy/paste.I will try the two possibilities that you mention above out, soon i have time.
Regards.

beeldenstormParticipantHi
i am working in this css:
wp-content/themes/…/tribe-events/pro/tribe-events-pro.cssI would strongly advise against changing that CSS directly.
—> On this website it’s explained to make a copy from the “tribe-events-pro.css” and put it in the used theme in a self created directory themes/my-theme/tribe-events/pro/ ?
Depending on what you are after, you might want to play around with the first 2 settings in Events -> Settings -> Display,
—> Have test all possible settings in “Display”.
And, if you need to add CSS or tweak it, it is a better practice do to so in your child theme’s CSS or Custom CSS option.
—> That’s what i have done: themes/my-theme/tribe-events/pro/tribe-events-pro.css
The main reason behind this is to make sure your changes are kept when you upgrade the plugin.
—> Yes, i know.
Will send the rest in private mode, like you ask.
beeldenstormParticipantHi
I have already put all system info in this post.
Do i have to do that again? You described the problem good; in my case the css style is different between normal calendar photo view and shortcode calendar photo view.
normal calendar photo view:
http://beeldenstorm.be/w3b/agenda/shortcode calendar photo view:
http://beeldenstorm.be/w3b/intro/my shortcode:
[tribe_events view=”photo” category=”intro”]i am working in this css:
wp-content/themes/…/tribe-events/pro/tribe-events-pro.cssThere are no photos in that website because it’s a test website from the real one.
But that should not influence the css style.beeldenstormParticipantYou can close these discussion. The Extra Fields plugin was creating these problem.
I have changed the settings and all is working fine now.beeldenstormParticipantYes, i know. But there isn’t a “Author meta box” at all in the “Events” section.
Very strange. Before there was, and i haven’t make big changes to the wordpress install or plug-ins. -
