    I have saved the permalink structure several times, to no avail.

    The problem may have come up after some attempts to add last name and rsvp status columns – I thought all changes had been reverted, but maybe not. Can you provide instructions for re-installing the plugins?

    Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus — on one site there is no ticket data I’m worried about losing, but the other site has ticket records from past events (when we used WooTickets). I was pleased to see all that intact after the install of ET and ETP.

    There seems to be code in the file you point me to that deletes columns if there is no data — so…

    I think the solution may lie in getting rsvp process to add a status of “rsvp confirmed” — then the two lists will have the same columns and the mis-aligned spreadsheet will be sortable without having to create / run macros, etc.

    I just couldn’t find how to do that in the rsvp.php file.

    Ah yes. The one site uses EDD (no billing_lname collected – and only a , in attendees list)
    The other site, using Woo Commerce did populate the name field with last, first but the csv export was in the original single name order and the rsvps now have only a comma instead of a name.

    rsvps missing status column:

    When paid tickets are combined with rsvps in one attendee list, it displays fine in the web view, but the csv produced misaligns the columns, as there is no order-status for the rsvps. I have a separate thread about this, but both issues come back to the question, where is the code that creates the csv export?

    Thanks for this George — it didn’t work for me — I got an attendees list with the name column displaying only a comma!

    If you still have your test environment available, could you check the CSV export with your custom function in place? If we could get this to work, and have it export to the csv as it displays this would be good. If the CSV pulls from somewhere else, then it’s not worth tinkering with this. You said it couldn’t sort the displayed table on that column, but if it would pull into the CSV in that format, we could sort it there.

    Meanwhile, I’m also struggling to get the RSVP section of my list to have a status column at all – WHERE is the code that generates the CSV?

    Thanks!

    I have tried a few things in the files you suggest, and I can get the status column to display “RSVP” in the attendees list, but when I export as CSV, nothing has changed. How is it that RSVP fields display in proper columns, but no column exists in export?

    Where is that CSV export generated?

    I would suggest that a status of “RSVP confirmed” would be useful for anyone wanting to export a csv list of attendees. I don’t think my request is unique to my situation — otherwise, why would you offer a csv export button?

    I suggest that this is a bug to be fixed — maybe not a top priority, but something many user would benefit from, if it were fixed.

    George,

    I was trying to apply similar modifications to the new software, and indicated what I had already tried.

    I tried adding the snippets to the file named above the snippets.

    I’m using latest The Events Calendar, with Events Tickets Plus and WooCommerce, offering both paid tickets and RSVP option.

    I view the attendees list and click Export — the csv opens in Excel ( Excel for Mac 2011 14.3.6 )

    I get the same results if I save the CSV and then import it into Excel as a delimited file — with Tabs and Commas selected (default settings for delimited file).

    In response to your suggestion (in the now closed topic https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-tickets-split-first-name-last-name/#post-1051182 ) that we sort our print out by security code:

    We are trying to make the process user friendly and environment friendly, and we re-word the confirmations to say “You do not need to print out your ticket. We will have your name on a list at the door.” Asking them to print out or remember a security code is not a solution.

    You are right in your reply that as a developer of this plugin used by thousands of users in many different scenarios, you have to consider more than just one client — I’m just feeling like you’ve made changes to the software that effect my client, and that in your responses in this forum you’ve made it clear that you’re not interested in how THIS client wants and needs to use your software.

    I also would like the choice of how names are handled.

    In the case of tickets, let’s say the Smiths want to come to my show. Either Bob or Nancy takes care of ordering two tickets.

    We work with a printout of the ticket names and if we can’t sort by last names, then we can’t search in the S’s for Smith, we’ll have to instead check the B’s for Bob, N’s for Nancy – and then…. oh, it’s under Robert! This is not very efficient at the door when everyone is trying to check in.

    Our process is to export a CSV to prepare the guest list to check people in at the door — fortunately, we are a small theater — we’ll just have to make it work — by manually creating that field in the spreadsheet, or by taking the time to search by first names at the door.

    I tried a snippet you had provided for adding a telephone number to the attendees list, but that was from a previous version also, and no longer works.

    I am very disappointed to update to a new version and now not be able to do what I was able to do in the previous version.

    What about Easy Digital Downloads? I know you had to write something to get EDD to track inventory at all.

    Related to this question,
    If I have to split my inventory between different price tickets, or between tickets and RSVPs (will pay at door) I will need to manage the allotted inventory carefully. Will I receive an email when stock is running low?

    This was an option using WooTickets, but I don’t see that as an option in the new Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus, nor in Easy Digital Downloads.

    If it is an option, where do I enter the email to receive the stock running low notification, and where do I set the quantity to trigger the notification?

    Thanks George for pointing me in the right direction.

    I’m a bit surprised that The Events Calendar offers this option as is, because I can’t imagine who would want to promote their most distant event at the top of their blog, leaving current or soon to happen events buried in the midst.

    If the events posted in order of their creation or publication, vs. the order of the event’s date, I would have some more control and could force the ones I want to feature to the surface. As it is, I will have to do the custom coding you suggest, or abandon your “feature” and create duplicate content in the form of posts.

    Anybody have any other ideas?

    Tickets page is http://puppetsinthegreenmountains.com/events/category/2015-festival/

    In order to get all shows listed with ticket puchasing options “up front”, I made an override for views/list/single-event.php and added this bit:

    <?php do_action( 'tribe_events_single_event_after_the_meta' ) ?>

    So the end of that file now looks like this:

    <!-- Event Content -->
    <?php do_action( 'tribe_events_before_the_content' ) ?>
    <div class="tribe-events-list-event-description tribe-events-content description entry-summary">
    	<?php the_excerpt() ?>
    	<a href="<?php echo esc_url( tribe_get_event_link() ); ?>" class="tribe-events-read-more" rel="bookmark"><?php _e( 'Details & Directions', 'tribe-events-calendar' ) ?> &raquo;</a>
    	<?php do_action( 'tribe_events_single_event_after_the_meta' ) ?>
    </div><!-- .tribe-events-list-event-description -->

    <?php do_action( 'tribe_events_after_the_content' ) ?>

    The other approach (using woo short code instead) might work, but we’re in the midst of the short sales season for the festival and I won’t likely be tweaking it at this point. I am noting the possible solution for the next go round in 2 years. Who knows, by then there will likely be a different way to do it!

    To clarify: I’ll split the inventory of 60 tickets into 40 at Adult price and 20 at reduced price. If the 20 run out before the 40, or the other way around, I’ll shift some inventory from one to the other. Not ideal.
