Hi again,
An update for The Event Calendar PRO just came out and all my troubles are now solved. I guess my error 500 was indeed caused by the previous update.
Anyway, I still get the initial Organizer error with the last version of plugins.

I’d like to investigate further but I can’t deactivate other plugins since I cannot access my administration panel anymore… This morning, I tried to update “The Event Calendar” plugin to its new version, but wp-admin/update-core.php sent me a 500 error. The other admin pages are terribly slow to load and sometimes send me a timeout. I tried to re-upload WP and restore original core files but it didn’t fix the problem. I also tried to save the permalink configuration (and restore htaccess file) but I still have the 500 error.
Do you think it could be generated by “The event calendar” plugin update? Because it is the only thing different since it worked…
Thanks in advance.

I can indeed submit events as a contributor without problem. No error in the offing.
AlainParticipantHi George,
I receive this error as an administrator, not even faking a community event submission with another role…
Anyway, here are the options under Access Control you asked for:
I tried with a contributor account submitting a new event with an organizer and I don’t get the error…
September 1, 2015 at 12:50 am in reply to: Create Eventbrite event from WordPress event failed #1000794AlainParticipantHi Geoff!
Yes I had figured out the workaround with configuring my tickets in Eventbrite. It works well like that. But I just wanted to report that error to your team to fix this in a next release.
Because all of my events are already created in WordPress, I don’t use “import from Eventbrite” feature, unfortunately.
But that’s ok, I’m not blocked. I can continue to work.
Good luck with that one. Have a good day.

AlainParticipantHi Barry.
I ran through your standard troubleshooting steps and it appears to be a conflict with the theme (sparkling).
I’m gonna fix that on my side then 😉
Sorry for not seeing your “Testing for conflicts” guide!
Have a good day.
Justine
AlainParticipantYes, sorry about that. I’m working on the latest release (3.10.1) and the problem happens with this release.
I don’t know what further information you need to help me 🙂
I’m waiting for your answer!
