Curiouser and Curiouser.
The events calendar has always worked perfectly and I certainly haven’t deinstalled it – it is just not showing.
I have been to plugins and tried to install it again but an error message appears:
Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.
Please advise.

Andy FragenModeratorCSSHero is not your friend here.
Andy FragenModeratorTerry,
It seems as though you’ve added CSS to the theme Customizer too. Some of that is overriding the Category Colors CSS.
I believe I have enough filters in to create a fix but we’ll have to zero in on the CSS selector that’s causing the change.
Andy FragenModeratorHey Terry/Geoff,
It seems you might be having an issue with the Category Colors plugin?
What precisely is the issue?
If you don’t see a color you expect, where did you set the color you expect?
Andy FragenModeratorI believe I have fixed this issue in the latest version of The Events Calendar Category Colors.
Andy FragenModeratorIf you look at the top of the page you will see a dropdown tab labeled Screen Options. Click on that and you will be able to de-select the columns that you don’t wish to view.
Andy FragenModeratorHey Geoff and Jason,
Category Colors is compatible with all views.
Please create an issue over at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar-category-colors/ and I’ll get it fixed. 😉
Andy FragenModeratorHey Karen,
You should be able to do that with The Events Calendar Category Colors . Standard disclaimer, Modern Tribe did not develop this plugin but it’s well tested and current. It will change the background event color in all views.
Let me know if you have any problems with it.

Andy FragenModeratorHey Barry,
I was looking at the filter you mentioned, mostly with the thought of trying to alter the output, but as the CSS isn’t passed no joy there. I forgot about just eliminating all the CSS from the Customizer but that seems a bit heavy handed, though still a solution. Also, this would continue to create an empty inline style tag in the code. Not something I think we want. Perhaps a return statement in
print_css_template()
if$css_template
is empty would make things much cleaner here.I like the idea of using
wp_add_inline_style()
as you should be able to add the Customizer CSS to whichever tribe stylesheet is used and this would then be able to be overwritten without changing our current practice. The only other concerning thing is that if the user ever adjusts something in The Events Calendar via the Customizer, there is no simple method for undoing this. Perhaps some other setting in the Customizer to revert all changes. Just thinking out loud.
Andy FragenModeratorOK so here’s a solution.
https://gist.github.com/afragen/e91341718eb82e52e8eb
It’s a template override that you need to put into `{your-theme}/tribe-events/pro/week/tooltip.php
What it does is strip out all the HTML from the tooltip, in the week view only.
Andy FragenModeratorMark,
I think the solution will be to create an override template for the week view tooltip. I’m looking into it but need to gain a better understanding of the JavaScript templating system.
Andy FragenModeratorI think I’ve fixed the issue with superpowers in CC 4.4.5
Andy FragenModeratorThis reply is private.
Andy FragenModeratorOK, a little late to this party but I’m here. 😉
The update to Category Colors 4.4.4 should fix all of the reported styling issues, including those to photo view, mobile month view, and other basic updates for TEC 4.0
Nothing changed in the superpowers. It might help to have Barry jump in regarding Superpowers. It’s his code. 😉
My dev site is http://tribe.thefragens.net
I’m running WordPress trunk, TEC 4.0, ECP 4.0, Category Colors 4.4.4Let me know what I can do to help.
Andy
Andy FragenModeratorBrian,
Is there a filter for the tooltip text? If not please consider it a feature request. 🙂
