Same issue as below link. It also defaults to the west coast of Africa.
API key is setup correctly in Google Console.

Reporting the same issue as: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/view-as-map-not-showing-events-however-map-on-events-work-fine/January 9, 2018 at 10:03 am #1421631VictorKeymasterHey Richard!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this issue.
Could you please try the same as I asked in the related thread, which is going to Events > Settings > General tab and under Map Settings and click the Fix venues data button? This will generate the geolocation information (lat and long coordingates) missing for your venues.
Does it solve the issue? Please let us know about it.
Thanks,

I read that same solution on another page on your site, but the issue is there is no button for us.
January 10, 2018 at 4:54 am #1422234VictorKeymasterHi Richard!
Thanks for following up with this.
Unfortunately, I have been able to reproduce the issue on my end and it seems to be related to a problem with the Google Maps API request that generates the Latitude and Longitude coordinates upon creating/saving the venue.
I have already created a report for this so we can investigate it further. I will set this thread’s status to “Pending fix” and link it to the report so we’ll let you know as soon as we have an update.
In the meantime, could you please log in to your Google API console and see if you are getting errors for your Google Maps Geocoding API requests and the code errors involved?
Thanks,

This issue is still present for us, even after updating the plugin.
February 13, 2018 at 6:02 pm #1452434VictorKeymasterHi Richard!
Thanks for following up with this. I’m sorry you are still having this problem.
Could you please try editing the venue and saving, without any other action, and then check if the Lat and Long coordinates are present?
If not, could you please see if there are any console errors by inspecting the page? We have an article that explains how to do that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/
Let me know about it.
Thanks,
VictorFebruary 21, 2018 at 9:50 am #1460059eriParticipantI opened a few venues for editing, and only clicked the ‘Update’ button, and no luck.
I also inspected the page and there are no errors in the console.

February 22, 2018 at 4:00 am #1460733VictorKeymasterHi Richard!
Could you please make sure you have added a Google Maps API key to wp-admin > Events > Settings > APIs under Google Maps API ?
Also, could you please share with us a screenshot of the edit venue page when editing one of your venues? when you do, please click the Use latitude + longitude: checkbox so we can see if there are Lat and Long coordinates generated for that venue.
What happens if you create a new venue with a valid address, does it generate the Lat and Long coordinates for it?
When coming back, please share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/. We’ll see if there is anything strange that would indicate an error from there.
Please let us know about that.
Thanks,
VictorMarch 8, 2018 at 4:16 pm #1474093VictorKeymasterHi Richard,
Just wanted to follow up with this topic to let you know that a new maintenance release (for the Week of 5 March 2018) is out, including an improvement in the “Fix venue data” functionality.
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-week-5-march-2018/
Please update the plugins and see if it also fixes your map issues.
Thanks,
VictorMarch 12, 2018 at 8:12 am #1476549eriParticipantI’ve updated the plugin(s) and clicked the link to fix the venues. Still no luck.
Opening a venue for editing and saving without modifying does not update the geolocation information either.

Thank you.
March 13, 2018 at 6:04 am #1477422VictorKeymasterHi Richard,
Thanks for your continued help and patience so far.
I think there may be a conflict somewhere else, so let me help you troubleshoot this further.
First, Could you please share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ? We’ll see if there is anything strange that would indicate an error from there.
Then, we’ll need to make sure we are not dealing with a theme or plugin conflict, so to narrow the problem down please go through the steps provided in the testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and see what you can find.
Please let me know about that.
Thanks,
