Hey Guys this just seems so common senses! But after upgrading my subscription to include this new site I find this is not the case the plugin does not handle this, for RSVP

In other words, no pay – no notification to the admin or Organizer. Very disappointing.

Notification by email, for ALL internet transaction is Essential in ALL applications, I cannot understand why this simple function was not built in to the great app.

I would like to un-update my account and wait till I have another need to upgrade my account
Please move me back to personal and refund the $59 update charge. I have disconnected all but one site.
Please tell me how to do this.

    Thanks

    Kevin

Good evening Kevin and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the notifications not working properly for RSVP tickets on your installation. I would love to help you with this topic.

I totally agree with you, more options for notifications would be a nice addition to our plugins.

The good news is that you still have a couple of options available to you:

    1. Using the WordPress better notifications plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-tickets-rsvp-email-alerts/#post-1080222
    2. Use the following extension: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-ticket-email-notification/#post-1162357

As a side note, we are working on releasing a nice extension library to allow our users to easily have access to several awesome tweaks.

The good news is you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

I recently purchased the Event Ticket Plus with Community Events and it’s very not user friendly for our organizers and members. The RSVP features are not exactly what I expected. There is no default setting options and the RSVP ticket can only be added when in the admin page and not front-end. I purchased the Community Events and Event Ticket Plus, none of them have what I was looking for :(. I also noticed the Event Calendar Pro, will this provide the functions close to what’s listed below? This causes a lot of hassles for me to go through each event to add the RSVP for our organizers.

    1. When creating an event, the RSVP feature should be available (or have option to be available as default).
    2. When a member RSVP, they shouldn’t have to type in their name and email. It should automatically rsvp with their login info.
    3. What plugin do I need to enable the recurrent event (must have)? I’m surprised there’s no recurrent event feature with the 2 purchased license.
    4. Must have notification to organizer when a member RSVP’ed.
    5. RSVP list shows in the Event Page, but it does not show the name of the person attending?

    Your support is appreciated,
    Tien

    Hey Tien,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There is no default setting options and the RSVP ticket can only be added when in the admin page and not front-end.

Actually, I would be curious to know more about this. RSVP tickets are possible to add in the front-end as long as you have the following plugins installed:

    1. the Events Calendar
    2. Community Events
    3. Event Tickets
    4. Event Tickets Plus
    5. Community Tickets: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/community-tickets/

Can you confirm that you are in fact using these 5 plugins ?  It looks like you might be missing the fifth one.

    1. When creating an event, the RSVP feature should be available (or have option to be available as default).

That should be the case if the 5 plugins listed above are present.

    2. When a member RSVP, they shouldn’t have to type in their name and email. It should automatically rsvp with their login info.

That is an interesting idea. I believe this should be doable via a snippet or a template customization. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

    3. What plugin do I need to enable the recurrent event (must have)? I’m surprised there’s no recurrent event feature with the 2 purchased license.

Recurring events comes with the Events Calendar Pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

By the sound of it, you might have been a prime candidate for our Community manager Bundle: https://theeventscalendar.com/bundles/

    4. Must have notification to organizer when a member RSVP’ed.

You can do that using the snippet I provided above. We also have another snippet that CCs every email related to RSVP to the WordPress admin if you are interested.

    5. RSVP list shows in the Event Page, but it does not show the name of the person attending?

I am not sure if you want the names of the attendees to show or not ? Could you confirm ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

Thank you so much for your reply. You’re right, I do not have the Community Tickets. I would not mind purchasing it if it does what I need. One other thing that is important to the community is the notification to send out to our members whenever new events are created. Will this feature be available in Community Tickets and Events?

As far as notification to the event organizer, this is all we need whenever an event organizer post an event, it should also notify the members of new event has been created. Also, whenever a member RSVP to an event, it should send a notification to the event organizer. I would have to checkout the Snippet to see what’s available.

To answer your question about having the names of attendees to show on the event page. As of right now, when a member RSVP on the event page, it only shows their profile image and not their name. Yes, I would like the name to display on the event page. It does not good just to have an image profile without their names 🙂 Most members would like to see who is attending the event. I also attached a screenshot of a member RSVP’ed with guests. It’s kind of confusing when other members look at the attendee list. It should only shows the attendee and # of guests. Will the Community Tickets have front-end to create event with added RSVP feature?

I see that I missed out on the Community Event Bundles, would you be able to provide discount for the Community Tickets? Recurrent event is a nice feature to have in a community but I don’t know if I want to purchase another license just for that feature.

    Thank you,
    Tien

    Hey Tien,

    Here are some more answers

One other thing that is important to the community is the notification to send out to our members whenever new events are created. Will this feature be available in Community Tickets and Events?

The short answer is no. This is not in our product.

However you could totally do so using the WordPress better notifications plugin.

As a side note, about your previous point 2, here is the snippet that allows logged-in WordPress users to have their login info pre-populate the RSVP section: https://gist.github.com/niconerd/b31d7d436a35e15a1f0c151f9a0bc7bb

Also, whenever a member RSVP to an event, it should send a notification to the event organizer. I would have to checkout the Snippet to see what’s available.

Let me know if you need the second snippet I offered that sends a CC of every possible RSVP ticket to the WordPress admin.

To answer your question about having the names of attendees to show on the event page. As of right now, when a member RSVP on the event page, it only shows their profile image and not their name. It should only shows the attendee and # of guests.

You can totally tweak that with the help of our Themer’s guide.

Will the Community Tickets have front-end to create event with added RSVP feature?

Yes, if you have all 5 plugins installed, Community Tickets offer the RSVP feature in the front-end.

I see that I missed out on the Community Event Bundles, would you be able to provide discount for the Community Tickets? Recurrent event is a nice feature to have in a community but I don’t know if I want to purchase another license just for that feature.

I am pretty sure we can arrange something. Please send us that request here: https://theeventscalendar.com/contact/

Finally, in the future, to avoid other users from getting notified every time you have a follow-up question (in this case Kevin), I would ask you to please open a separate thread so that we can take care of your needs in a personalized manner.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
