Good evening Adrian and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fact that you are still experiencing URL related issues.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ? (following the instructions found in the link)

In the meantime, have you tried re-saving your permalinks (going to Settings – > Permalinks and hitting the Save button again) ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Adrian,

I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you.

We’ll have to be doing a bit of additional testing to identify the root of the issue. Thank you for your patience.

Could you please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

Additionally, is it possible for you to share with me a screenshot of your settings for the event urls (found in Events -> Settings -> General)?

Finally, while on that specific screen, I would try re-saving the URL settings on that page.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Adrian,

    Thank you for the screenshot

Could you please tell me what the result of the testing for conflicts procedure are ?

The reason I am asking is because it is possible that the issues are caused by:

    1. A plugin conflict (JetPack and the redirection plugin come at the top of the list)
    2. Some caching issue (I am not sure if you are using Caching. Maybe through Wordfence security ?) If you are using a caching solution, I would turn it off and empty it while we are troubleshooting.

Could you also tell me if you tried re-saving the settings on Events -> Settings ?

In regards to your second issue, could you please share a screenshot of your Events -> Community settings please ?

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Adrian,

Thank you for answering my questions.

I proceeded to run a complete test to try to replicate the issue (based on your settings). Here are my findings:

I do get the following URL in the backend of WordPress (http://playformobile.monsiteoublog.com/evento\-zaragoza/un-testo/), but the actual link AND the front-end URL works perfectly (http://mywebsite.com/evento-zaragoza/un-testo)

In other words, there is still a glitch with the display of the URL in the backend (which we will fix), but the actual URL works.
Can you tell me exactly what happens when you try to view the Event on the front-end ? Could you also try re-saving the event in question (to refresh it’s URL) ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Charrame,

Thank you for sharing this with me.

A quick look at your the post visualizator of your website revealed that you are using some template customization or some third party plugin to display events.

As you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our wonderful customers started on the right track to customize their site and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately cannot provide complete support for customization or integration with third party software.

That being said, you can probably rectify this by updating the post visualizer code for the images to include the latest changes we have made in our code to fix the URL related issue or apply the correct filter to the faulty URLs. As you can tell, the hyperlink of the titles is working correctly on the visualizer. If nothing else, you would need to use the same method to get the correct URL.

Also, the issue continues with the post grid of the visual composer plugin.

I am unsure what you mean by that ? Could you please explain what you mean?

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Charrame,

Thank you for sharing that link with me. I agree with you, the URL of the images is not correct.
But once again, the URL of the title is working correctly.

Unfortunately, that page still uses a customized template that is not one of the Events Calendar built-in views.

I have tested your exact configuration and url structure on a default WordPress theme and the images URLs are working properly on the Events Calendar built-in views.

My best recommendations would be to:

    • Contact the theme author to update the customization code
    • Hire one of our recommended customizers to fix the customization for you

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We weren’t able to get a fix for it into our upcoming release (4.1). However, please know that the problem is still on our radar and is ticketed within our system to be addressed in a future maintenance release. We’ll do our best to keep you posted when we are able to get a solution in place. Thank you for your patience while we improve and expand our plugins.

    Best,
    Leah
