ParticipantThis is a resolution report for the two forum posts which were closed by droid before I answered.
Sorry, key validation server is not available. Still not working.
Sorry for the delay getting back to you on this. I didn’t do the actions you mentioned in post 1004904; it turns out the reason for the problems is my ISP’s version of PHP was inadequate for the updates to WordPress. The server was unable to perform the “connect to wordpress.org upon update for validation” exercise, which caused every plugin to fail upon attempting updates.
Once I migrated our website to a more modern server, all problems went away including your key server validation error.
So in this case, I don’t think it was your issue.
I thought you’d want to know what finally resolved it, though, in case it helps others.

ParticipantHowdy Joy,
That was our bad. Our license key server went down for a few hours this weekend. But it is back up, and if you try to register again you should be in the clear. Please let us know if for some reason you are still experiencing errors.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey There,
I keep getting that error as well (“Sorry, key validation server is not available.”) and I am sort of lost how to check out wether it is a problem on my end or “somewhere else”.
In Josh’s posting from September 7, 2015 to Jan, https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/sorry-key-validation-server-is-not-available-10/, I found two URLs to check. The first one (https://162.243.159.176) returned an invalid or untrusted SSL certificate, the second one (https://50.116.28.27/) timed out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
– Frank.

ParticipantHowdy All,
Notox has requested we close this thread to avoid spamming her inbox with replies that are no longer relevant to her issue. So I am now going to archive this thread.
Frank, we would love to help you, but would you mind opening a new thread? I wish I had the ability to split your p9ost off, but I do not. In your new thread could you also answer this question: How are you testing where those IPs are accessible? By visiting them in your web browser, or by pinging them form your web server?
Cheers!
