    Hello,

I am able to manually run imports successfully with Google calendar with the Aggregator. However, all my scheduled imports are failing. I found a thread where someone had the EXACT same issue back in May 2017. Apparently, there was a fix for it with an update to the plugin. I have the latest update and still not working.

Please any assistance would be great.

    Hello Clay!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’m sorry you are still experiencing this issue with the latest update. Let me help you troubleshoot that.

Could you please go to Events > Help and under Event Aggregator System Status check the connection status with the Aggregator server? You can send us a screenshot if you’d like.

Also, when coming back, could you please share with us your system info by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ?

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello Clay!

Thanks for checking that and for sharing your system information.

It seems that your license is active and working correctly. But somehow is not working for you.

We’ve had other users reporting similar issues with scheduled imports as well and we are actively investigating this. As we cannot replicate the issue on our own side it’s hard to find the source of it, so we need to try different angles to approach this.

Could you please try scheduling the import again from scratch to see if it works? Could you also share the Gcal URL with us so we can run some tests on our end?

In the meantime, I’ve attached this thread to the above mentioned report so we can let you know the updates about it.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Victor,

It has come across my mind to start from scratch but I have over 6,000 events imported and there is no bulk delete option within the plugin. After much research, it seems the only plugin that will help with this is the Bulk Delete plugin. However, it is only deleting 50-70 at a time. I submitted a separate support thread about it here. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/bulk-delete-events/#post-1331937

This is a very frustrating issue. I am considering reverting back to a different plugin at this point.

    Hello Lawrence!

Thanks for your continued help and patience so far.

I am really sorry this issue is happening to you. I can only imagine how frustrating this might be.

Rest assured we are here to help and we’ll try our best to get to the bottom of this.

I don’t think you should delete your previous imports to create a new scheduled import. The goal here would be to create a new scheduled import and see if it works. You don’t need to use the exact same source, so you could create a new Google calendar with some events in it and then use that for testing purposes and even set the status to “Draft” so it doesn’t show up in your calendar.

When creating this new import, if you get an error message please let us know what it says.

Regarding the failed scheduled imports, could you please hover over the red exclamation mark in them and let me know what error messages they show?

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi there,

Just wanted to share with you that a new maintenance release is out containing various improvements for Events Aggregator. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been released:

    • Fix – Avoid Event Aggregator previews or scheduled imports being marked as failures.
    • Fix – Fixed an issue that would sometimes render Event Aggregator options invalid even with a valid license.
    • Fix – Fixed an issues where Event Aggregator scheduled imports could not run other than manually.
    • Tweak – Improve Event Aggregator message regarding Facebook token expiration.
    • Tweak – Support importing from URLs (Event Aggregator) where the protocol hasn’t been specified by defaulting to HTTP.
    • Tweak – Added filter: tribe_aggregator_meta_source to filter the Event Aggregator import source.
    • Tweak – Added filter: tribe_events_linked_post_meta_values_{$current_linked_post_meta_key} for filtering the array of values retrieved for a specific linked post meta field.

Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-week-21-august-2017/

Please update The Events Calendar to the latest version, give it a few hours and let us know how things go. If you are still having troubles be sure to report back to us including system information, a detailed description of the issue (if it has changed in anyway since the original report) and steps to reproduce if possible. We are aware some setups might still need adjustments!

Thanks for the patience while we worked on these issues,
    Best,
    Nico

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
