ParticipantHi, I purchased your Pro Plugin and it is not working – the colors in the calendar do not change when I adjust them, the calendar does not look the way that I want it to no matter how many times I change the settings and adjust my theme, and I was unaware that the $90 was a yearly fee, not a one-time fee. Additionally, you promise support for those who buy it when really it’s forum for paid users? That is not acceptable.
Please let me know about a refund. My order number is #1601101.

MemberHi Alyson
I am so sorry you weren’t getting the look you want. A few tips to help you carry this further include:
- Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.. Learn more about the WordPress Customizer at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wordpress-customizer/
- You can add additional settings to Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar. by installing our Customize Calendar extension https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/calendar-customizer/.
- We generally don’t recommend that you change the theme or plugin’s CSS files directly, as they will be overwritten. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
- Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.. See Changing Fonts and Colors https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-fonts-and-colours/ for more tips.
- Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
- Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.
We also recommend testing how these changes work with other themes. Not all themes are created equally, and some aren’t coded in a way that makes it easy for you to adjust the look of our plugin on your site. Please see how your site looks using Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/.
Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/.
You might find your plugin conflict quickly by using Plugin Detective https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/.
We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).
If you are unable to do so, please install the Health Check plugin so that you can effectively disable all plugins without website visitors noticing any changes. See https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/#troubleshooting for how to do this.
Please share or reshare in your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ as well after your tests so that we can better diagnose the issues you are having.
Per our Scope of Support / Terms, a team member will respond to you on average within 24-48 hours here, where you’ve reached us.
I see that you haven’t submitted any previous requests for support. I wanted to check that we addressed your requests.
We do offer 30 day refunds if you find the plugin does not meet your needs. It’s just a matter of submitting a refund request form at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/.
Thanks

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
