ParticipantHi there! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/recurring-event-wont-finish-posting/#post-1199217
I do still need help resolving this. I can’t see how to send a private message here, but I will send you my theme, child, and child settings after I open the ticket. Hopefully there I’ll see a Private reply option. Thanks!

MemberHi again, Jennifer.
I installed and activated ‘x’ and ‘x-child’ themes and tried creating a recurring event with each and they both worked just fine.
Also, I looked into the code in your ‘x-child’ theme and there really wasn’t any code in there so it’s unlikely it has any effect on this.
This isn’t currently a known issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Sixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantOk, thank you! I will try this out and get back to you. It might take me a couple more weeks because I really need to set up a staging site to drop it back to the 2016 theme. But let’s please keep the ticket open? I really do need to resolve this. Thanks! 🙂

MemberSure, no problem. Thanks for your effort here.
Please note that threads get Closed automatically after a couple weeks of inactivity (3 weeks I think). If it does get Closed, please open a new thread, adding your current problem description and also linking back to this thread.
