– can the events calendr be shared in social media?Waitting for a replay.

MemberHi Ana,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! I’d be more than glad to try and answer these questions for you! 🙂
- Our plugins The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO do not include ticketing functionality on their own. For this, you’ll need to add on Event Tickets (which provides core ticketing support) and Event Tickets Plus (which adds support for paid tickets). Event Tickets Plus works great with either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads for payment processing and order management.
- By default, site administrators can submit events, and payment options are provided by the e-commerce platform of your choice (either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads). You’ll configure those settings in your selected e-commerce plugin!
- Since all payment and order management is handled by your selected e-commerce platform, multiple currencies are supported only if the option is offered by the plugin. I’d suggest reviewing the documentation for your preferred plugin to see if this feature is available!
- Absolutely–links to specific events on your calendar can be shared just like any other web page. If you’d like to add a plugin for quicker social media sharing, most social media plugins that support custom post types should work just fine with our events.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Ana,
Thanks for following up! If you’re using Community Events and Community Tickets to allow event submissions and ticketing from other users, you can use the split payment option to have payment for ticket sales sent directly to the organizer’s PayPal account. For more information on how to set up this feature, check out the following articles in our Knowledgebase:
- New User Primer: Community Tickets – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-community-tickets/

- Community Tickets: Configuring PayPal Split Payments – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/community-tickets-configuring-paypal-split-payments/
I hope those articles help to get you on your way! 🙂 Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

GuestHello,
Thanks for your email. No, we are not using community tickets. Only community events.

MemberHi Ana,
Thanks for clarifying your requirements a bit here! You’ll need the following products to ensure that your organizers can submit their own events, add tickets to those events, and receive payment via their own PayPal accounts:
- The Events Calendar (free)
- Events Calendar PRO (optional)
- Event Tickets (free)
- Event Tickets Plus
- Community Events
- Community Tickets
You may wish to consider our Community Manager Bundle, which includes Event Tickets Plus, Community Events, Community Tickets, and Filter Bar, all at a discounted price compared to buying each plugin separately. This bundle is a great value for users with community-focused sites who want to get set up quickly and save a little money doing it! 🙂
Let me know if you should have any other questions about any of our plugins or how they might work for your project! Cheers, and thanks so much again for your interest!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
