MarkThis is the message:
There is a new version of Event Aggregator available but your license key is invalid. View what’s new with version 1.0. Visit the Events Calendar website to check your licenses.
And:
It looks like you’re using Event Aggregator, but the license key you supplied does not appear to be valid or is missing. Please review and fix so that you can always have access to our latest versions!
You can find your license keys by logging in to your account on theeventscalendar.com and you can enter them over on the settings page.

MemberHi Mark.
Sorry you’re seeing this, as it looks like your account does NOT have an Event Aggregator license (correct me if this is wrong).
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Still no joy here. All themes and plugins are up-to-date and the problem persists. Before undertaking more drastic measures – plugins and site are in use with data in them. I notice that in the account > licence keys section that the key is not associated with a domain -> Site URL is empty. Could this be the issue with validating it on your servers?
Also, do both plugins need installing: ‘The Events Calendar’ followed by ‘The Events Calendar Pro’? I’m assuming they do.
Thanks,
Mark-

MemberMark, thanks for your efforts here. Could you please send me a screenshot to make sure I know exactly which notice you’re referring to and can log the bug if needed?

MemberMark, I thought your question was in regards to these messages:

and

The screenshot you sent of your Licenses page tells me that your license key for the PRO add-on is not activated in your site.
Please follow these steps to get PRO up-and-running and let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

There’s two Mark’s attempting to sort this. I gave the other one access to this forum yesterday to go in c/o me. For transparency sake, I’ll have him identify as Marc if he posts again.
No, you’re correct it is the prior message and the key not activating — the problem.
Marc is a tech step above me, I assume we’ll be in contact in the next few hours and one of us will post an update
thanks

ParticipantHi Cliff,
It was the PRO plugin. But the error message persists against something called ‘Event Aggregator’. Mark (with a k) will follow up with you.
Thanks,

Found the need: download and install plug-in. Now comes the wade through the customization. I see there’s lots to learn. I’ll close this thread but may well be back… hope it’s not too tricky.
Thanks though for prompt responses
