GuestHello,
My team is looking to replace our county’s outdated web calendar with something more modern and functional. I came across a few other county websites that use the Events Calendar Pro plugin, and I’m impressed with its simplicity. I have a few questions:
(1.) Using the Events Calendar Pro plugin, can we publish multiple calendars to the same site? For example, a calendar for every department, division, program, etc?
(2.) If yes to the question above, can the events be configured to roll up to one another? For example, can the events from a division appear on the parent department’s calendar? Can all events roll up to a single “master” calendar?
(3.) Is it possible to assign separate authors/editors to maintain each calendar?
Thank you!

MemberHi, Scott.
Thanks for considering our plugin suite!
1)
Please reference our Can You Have Multiple Calendars? KB article.
2)
Regarding the categories, yes, the Event Categories taxonomy works like other hierarchical WordPress taxonomies. For example:
- Parent A
- Child A
- Child B
- Parent B
- Child C
- Child D
An event assigned to Child B will appear in a list of events for both Child B and Parent A.
3)
The only pseudo-way to pull this off is via Community Events, where each author can create and manage their events via the front-end (instead of wp-admin). However, there’s just one calendar for the site.
You could create an Event Category per person or per department the person works in, but there isn’t a way to display a calendar of just the author’s events.
You could, though, use Filter Bar to enable browsing by Organizer or Venue. FYI: Organizers are not tied to WordPress authors.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
