GuestHi there.
I am creating a website to host a hub that lists support services (users) that have categories and tags associated with them with location related searching. Then have them pay for events to list on the calendar through Infusionsoft and memberium to management the sales and subscribers. Do you have any suggested methods of doing this using your calendar?
I am looking at putting a calendar of events that need to be searched by location for the end user and also searching through categories & tags for the event descriptions.
I also want to know, can we import events by using another system to export the captured information to then import the data for the event with your plugin?
I look forward to your response.

KeymasterHi Liz,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
Community Events will create a form on the front end of the site for users to submit events, but there is not currently an out-of-the-box method for charging for event submission/featured events. We are working on adding in this functionality for the future, but unfortunately I don’t have a timeline for you at the moment as to when this may be implemented.
The Events Calendar (the free base plugin that we offer for event management) does include a bar above the calendar with date, keyword, and location search functionality. For categories and tags, I would recommend taking a look at Filter Bar. However, please note that this searches the tags/categories associated with the event itself.
The Events Calendar will let you import events via CSV, but if you would like to import from other sources (like Google calendars or Meetup), then Event Aggregator can help you out with this.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take any of our premium add-ons for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

GuestHi Jennifer
Thanks for your reply.
I am also wanting to know if the events plugin use Geo Location at all or is it specifically a exact name search? I am only wanting the search for Australia and local searching for events in the area they are located in.
Further to that, allowing a user to add events, is this done using the wordpress user account? does the plugin have user access?

KeymasterHi Liz,
Yes Events Calendar Pro does support geolocation data, so you can search around a specific area.
Community Events does allow you to require users to login to be able to submit events, and this does use the default WP users on your site. You also have the option to block certain user levels from seeing the backend of your site (see screenshot).
Let me know if you have any other questions!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
