    Hi Nico

I wanted to follow up on a few things.

This is a development site that we are building out on a C Name URL at our web host WPEngine.
This host is a Tier-1 provider that ONLY hosts WP sites and they are really good.
WPEngine controls the WordPress MU and we cannot alter it.

ECP was working fine as we were developing this web site before we upgraded to 3.10.
After the upgrade + reinstall of EC + ECP, things went weird and the Calendar page disappeared and the LICENSE TAB disappeared on the backend of WP.
Now we only see GENERAL, DISPLAY + HELP tabs in the EC Settings.

As I mentioned individual events are displaying and we just added an new event and this is working too.
ECP options for making a RECURRING EVENT is currently not displaying when creating a new event.

So where do we go from here?

    Paul,

Thanks again for following this up. Seem Events Calendar PRO is not working at all 🙁

I’ve discussed this issue with the team, to see if they were facing similar issue but they don’t. This is getting really tricky!

Can you please go to the WP Engine settings page in the admin and clear both cache types and “Reset File Permissions”?

How did you set the site up so WP-Engine is the Network Admin?

In the past we worked closely with WP-Engine team to ensure compatibility between our product and their platform, and we are committed to keep that up.

Thanks for your patience on this once again,
    Best,
    Nico

    Nico.

I will talk to WPE and circle back with you.
You may have to connect with them directly after me.

I have to head out to client meetings for the rest of the day.
    Back to you tomorrow AM.
    Best ’til then.

    Nico,

I’ve spent a significant time on trying to resolve this issue with MT and now WPEngine.
I need to connect you and WPEngine in THEIR support ticket string.
In order to do that, I need an email address from you to add you to the string.

Please provide one ASAP so that we can get MT, WPE and I all communicating about how to get my paid license versions of EC + ECP working on this development site.
Your assistance is appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

This is the latest from WPE:

    Hey Paul,

Thank you for contacting WP Engine. I’ve been using the staging area of missionbaypark to make a few test changes without impacting the live site since there wasn’t a staging area already created.

I’ve tried reverting both the the-events-calendar, and events-calendar-pro plugins back to version 3.9.3 from 3.10 which unfortunately didn’t make any change with the error we’re seeing.

I’ve also made a few changes to the sites permalink settings, the theme, and have compared the .htaccess, and wp-config.php files to previous dates which both seem to match up, but unfortunately nothing has corrected the 404 we’re seeing.

I’m moving this ticket over to our senior techs to look more into this issue, and we’ll update this ticket with more information as soon as possible.

Please let us know if you have any questions, or concerns in the meantime!

    Kindly,

    Paul,

Thanks for the follow-up, and also for contacting WP-Engine about this. If they need to reach us, they can do it at support /a/ theeventscalendar.com.

One thing that will confirm if this is an specific issue between WP-Engine and version 3.10 of our plugins, is to create a fresh WordPress site in WP-Engine, then install both The Events Calendar/PRO 3.10 and test to see if the issue is still happening. Do you think you can do that? If not I’ll ping my manager about it, and see if I can do it for you.

Hope we can get this sorted soon,
    Best,
    Nico

    Nico,

I included your email in the WPE support string.

I would appreciate it if you and WPE work out the fresh install thing.
We’re up to our eyeballs with commitments and can’t afford the time to go off course.
    Hope this helps.

    You saw this, right?

    Hey Paul,

We added [email protected] as a CC to this email. We tried several troubleshooting steps to try to resolve this issue but haven’t found anything definitive. To start, we went with EC support’s suggestion on creating a new WordPress site with Events Calendar/PRO 3.10, the /events/ page worked fine.
    http://mbpwpe0624.wpengine.com/events/

We’re working with the staging site so that we can make changes without affecting your main site:
    http://missionbaypark.staging.wpengine.com/events/

We also tried several steps in the Fixing 404 errors document:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/

That includes ‘flushing permalinks’, disabling the theme and plugins, and adding the snippets of code to the theme’s functions.php. Here’s the output for the Tribe Query Debug:
    http://missionbaypark.staging.wpengine.com/events/?tribe_query_debug=true

Enabling Debug Mode didn’t provide any additional information to the server’s error_log.

Perhaps we need to try removing all of the files for the Events Calendar plugin and re-adding them? If re-installing the plugin doesn’t help, then unfortunately, this issue falls beyond the scope of our support and strongly recommend obtaining additional support from EC Support.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
