I followed the directions of disconnecting the development site, but I still can’t update the plugin because it says the license is not valid. Please answer this as soon as possible. I’m on a deadline1 Rebecca Davison
June 19, 2018 at 12:21 pm #1556503CourtneyMemberHey Sean
Can you confirm that you have installed The Events Calendar & Events Calendar Pro on the dev site?
Thanks
Courtney ๐June 19, 2018 at 2:33 pm #1556621northbranch nature centerParticipantI’ve attached a screen shot. Do you need something else? Access to the site?
June 19, 2018 at 6:43 pm #1556712CourtneyMemberHi Sean
Have you used this license on a live site yet? I don’t is it connected elsewhere.
Also, have you disabled all other plugins except The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro then tried to activate?
If it still won’t authenticate that way, check for Javascript errors on the front AND back end where you authenticate the license. Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors
Please let me know if these tests provide any solutions.
Thanks
Courtney ๐June 20, 2018 at 4:41 am #1556936northbranch nature centerParticipantWhat do you front and back end? I’ve used Chrome developer and Firefox to see if there are any JavaScript errors. I only found this error in Firefox:
‘undefined’ == typeof jQuery.migrateMute && (jQuery.migrateMute = !0),
What do you mean front- and back- end? I have no idea what to do, please advise with specific instructions.
Thanks!

Did you deactivate all other plugins and use a default theme?
Our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ can walk you through this.ย I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.ย
We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).ย
If you are unable to do so, please install the Health Check plugin so that you can effectively disable all plugins without website visitors noticing any changes. See https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/#troubleshooting for how to do this.
Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard ยป Updates).ย
Please send in your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ as well after your tests so that we can better diagnose the issues you are having.ย
The back end of your site is the part only accessible when you log in. I am specifically curious if you are having Javascript errors on the license activation page. Can you check this as well, and send me a screenshot of this page? Events > Settings > Licenses
Thanks
Courtney ๐June 20, 2018 at 5:40 am #1556978northbranch nature centerParticipantYes, I deactivated all of the other plugins.
I really donโt understand this because it seems like it is a Events Calendar problem with applying the license. I will go through all this but there has got to be a better, simpler way to solve this problem.
Iโll be back in touch.
June 20, 2018 at 6:45 am #1557023CourtneyMemberThanks Rebecca
That is hard. I do want to help you get this resolved.
Please send in your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ as well so that we can better diagnose the issues you are having.

June 20, 2018 at 9:52 am #1557357northbranch nature centerParticipantCourtney: I have done all the testing as described in your reply and nothing comes up as a problem with the theme or other plugsins. I really feel that Modern Tribe needs to give us a new download and license key to get this going. Rebecca
June 20, 2018 at 2:13 pm #1557634CourtneyMemberHi Rebecca
Can you send us a screenshot of Events>Settings>Licenses as you enter the license key?
Thanks
Courtney ๐June 21, 2018 at 6:49 am #1558214northbranch nature centerParticipantCourtney: Here you go. Thanks for the help. Hope we solve this soon. Rebecca
June 23, 2018 at 4:59 am #1559835CourtneyMemberHey Rebecca
Can you completely remove your license key, save and add it again? If that doesn’t work, uninstall the plugin, then reinstall and reactivate. I hope one of these options gets this resolved.
Thanks
Courtney ๐June 25, 2018 at 7:01 am #1560615northbranch nature centerParticipantCourtney: Sorry but the action you advised has not worked. I keep getting this message: Sorry, key validation server is not available. PLEASE give us a new license! This is really holding up the launch of the website. Rebecca
June 25, 2018 at 7:32 am #1560633northbranch nature centerParticipantCourtney: I have done as you advised, but Iโm still getting the same message: Sorry, key validation server is not available.
This problem is holding up progress on this site. PLEASE provide us with a new license number.
