ParticipantHi Support,
I’ve had our own developers look at the following possible solution to the problem in thread below.
This thread on the Events Calendar forum dated 5 April 2016 mentioned a release that “should” fix this bug would be release in 2 weeks of that date.
We have been through all the release notes from this time and it does not mention a fix for iCal export issue only iCal import issues.
(A supposed fix was included in release 4.0.1 dated 10/12/2015 – “Timezone handling fixed within generated iCal feeds” but I see the problem still persists to this day with other users as well.)We have tried the direct editing of the php file as suggested in first thread but it did not fix the iCal export issue.
Could you please let know if your support team have found a solution for this issue yet?

ModeratorWelcome back,
My sincerest apologies for the delayed response. I’ve been conversing with fellow support team members on the matter. Sorry to hear issues are persisting!
- Can you please confirm what your exact issues are in your own words, just to make sure we don’t make assumptions about the behavior on your site? I.E., is your issue literally the exact same, where the event dates and timezones all work fine every until they are imported into Outlook?
- If the events are imported into any other applications, do similar issues arise?
- Can you also post your complete system information? It will help us peak under the hood and will help us match our site configurations to your own if we need to try and recreate the problem.
- We have indeed published many fixes in the last year and beyond related to iCal export/import issues — the handling of timezones is tricky.
Thanks again for being so patient and have a good rest of your day.
Cheers!August 8, 2016 at 1:00 am #1148878John

ModeratorHey John,
It appears the System Information didn’t come through in full. Can you refer to this article on how to provide the entire contents of your System Information as a private reply?
In response to this comment made previously by you:

The fix from the wordpress.org thread you linked to is unfortunately the best solution I can find at this time. If it’s not working properly for you, you might need to hire a developer to help resolve the issue until we can come up with a fix. I know it’s not an ideal answer but it is the best I have for you at this time. We’ve got a list of customizers that can help out.
Please respond back with any comments or questions you have and thanks for understanding. Have a great week!

ModeratorHey John,
We do have a logged bug on the matter and as aforementioned, that is the only fix I know of at this time. If your developer is unable to resolve the matter until we can include a remedy in an upcoming maintenance release, there are unfortunately only a few routes I can offer: we can either do a full refund by visiting our Refunds page or as previously linked to, we have a list of customizers that can help out.
Believe me when I say that I do not like giving the link to our Refunds page. Thank you for your understanding on the situation and let me know how you would like to proceed. Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
