July 23, 2017| PermalinkHi there,
We’ve got a wordpress site where we sell even advertising for local business to advertise coming attractions. We’ve installed Calendar Pro, because we particularly like the visual impact of the Photo View feature. We’re happy with all of that! Now though, is our other issue we’d like to solve. We would ALSO like some of our businesses to be able to add their own events with photos, either for free or with a reduced fee (was going to probably use Gravity Forms for that checkout, as we have done with other things like our Job Board). Our thought is, that say larger planned community and business events that our folks want to advertise for, are in the one main category. But, say for local bars who have bands we wanted to have a ‘nightlife’ section for, and allow them to just be able to quickly ad their own content/event ads.
So, the questions we have are this:
1. Will these two products play nicely together?
2. If we add on the Community Events feature, can those Events still show in the Photo View style on that page?I’ll hope to hear from you soon and thanks in advance for any help!
Best Regards,

KeymasterHi Jean,
Thanks for reaching out!
Community Events will let your users create events from the front end of the site, and Community Tickets (with Event Tickets Plus) will let them sell tickets (you can set up the fee you would like to charge them). The checkout process is handled either through WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads; unfortunately using Gravity Forms to handle the checkout process would involve quite a bit of customization.
However, users can select categories/tags when adding their events. Once the events are added, they will display on your site just like events you created yourself. So yes, they can absolutely use photo view! You do have the option to choose the default status for user-submitted events, so you have the opportunity to review and approve them before they are published if you’d like.
Finally, we do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase if you’re not satisfied with our products, so feel free to try them out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
