ParticipantGoogle Webmaster Tools is showing about 117 404s, all related to The Events Calendar Pro. In the next thread, I will send a list of the 404 pages and attach privately. Help would be greatly appreciated, as we do not want it to affect our SEO. Thanks!

ParticipantAlso, TEC and TECPro are the same version, 4.3.2, because it is recommended by you that they be the same version. Is this the case?

ParticipantEven though the documentation recommends having all 3 on the same version?

ParticipantHello, updating The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro did not fix the 404s. I ran a crawl today and attached is a spreadsheet of the current 404s. Please advise.

KeymasterHi Melanie,
Thanks so much for updating your plugins and for working with us through this process.
It’s worth noting here that soft 404s may not be a big issue, if they aren’t affecting anything on your site. I know that you are concerned about your SEO, and that is a common issue. Please take a look at this Knowledgebase article that we have about this exact issue, to give you some more insight and explanation: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/404_and_seo/
If you are still concerned about seeing these 404s, you may want to explore the settings that you have in your Yoast SEO plugin. The following forum threads have addressed the same issue and may be able to point you to some ideas about what to try next:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/soft-404-errors-in-google-continued-in-latest-version-2/
If you are still experiencing the issue, please make sure that your Yoast SEO Plugin and your WordPress version are also up to date.
Please let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantActually, they aren’t all soft 404s. The spreadsheet attached to this thread are hard 404’s – real 404s.

KeymasterHi Melanie,
Let’s do a few things here. First, would you mind sending me your complete updated system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link? I just want to take a look at everything since you’ve updated your plugins, and make sure that I’m not missing anything there.

In addition, please see the following article, which can walk you through some troubleshooting steps to try, in order to fix your 404 errors:
