Hi, I’m suddenly getting a “bad license” message when I try to connect to Eventbrite Tickets, but when I check my licenses I have a valid license.
Thoughts on what the problem might be?
Thanks,

Thanks for emailing support. Can you also try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins? If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. Let me know what you find!
Thanks,

I could do this but nothing has changed with the site from when the feature was working (no new plugins for instance).
Note that I’ve also learned that this is the “Legacy Update” feature that is not working. Perhaps that helps.
Thanks.

Also, does Eventbrite Tickets need to be used in conjunction with any of your other plugins? I ask because we have 3 other plugins with expired licenses (Event Aggregator, Events Calendar Pro, and Event Tickets Plus). We let those expire because they are not being used at the moment.
Thanks,
June 7, 2018 at 7:43 pm #1549016BrendanKeymasterHi there,
None of those plugins need to be active. Actually, you could run into issues when both Event Tickets Plus and Eventbrite are both active. Try deactivating Event Tickets plus and see if that fixes the license. I am not seeing any issue on the license on this end.
Thanks,

No effect with deactivating Event Tickets Plus. As a side note, isn’t it a
little odd that your own plugins wouldn’t play nice together?Anyway, I’d like to make sure we’re actually talking about the same feature
that isn’t working. I am referring to the feature that allows one to import
events from Eventbrite. This used to be called “Legacy Import” I believe but
that option doesn’t exist anymore, perhaps removed with the plugin update
you guys recently pushed out.Thanks,

June 8, 2018 at 12:20 pm #1549636Brad LengParticipantHi, sorry, another piece of information. When I go to Events > Settings > API, I see that there is a heading called “Eventbrite,” beneath which says “You need to connect Event Aggregator to Eventbrite to import your events from Eventbrite.” See attached screenshot.
When I click the “Connect to eventbrite” button, I get the “Bad License” error.
In one of your earlier responses you mentioned that Event Aggregator does not need to have an active license for EventBrite Tickets to function. Are you sure this is the case?
Thanks,
June 8, 2018 at 1:40 pm #1549672BrendanKeymasterHi there,
Yes, sorry for the confusion. If you are trying to import events from eventbrite then you need a valid Event aggregator license. If you want to push events from your site to eventbrite you need to setup the second part which is at the bottom of that API page.
Thanks,
BrendanJune 8, 2018 at 3:39 pm #1549746Brad LengParticipantHi Brendan, I have updated the Events Aggregator license so it’s valid but the same problem persists.
Thoughts?
June 8, 2018 at 4:37 pm #1549761BrendanKeymasterHi there,
Sometimes the Locale gets mixed up. To check, navigate to your WP Admin > Events > Settings > Imports tab, then select the correct Eventbrite Locale and click “Save Changes”.
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks,
BrendanJune 8, 2018 at 4:49 pm #1549768Brad LengParticipantHi Brendan,
There are only two options that show in that area (in the drop down). They are csv and EventBrite. No Eventbrite Locale option and no option to save any settings.
June 11, 2018 at 4:13 pm #1551084BrendanKeymasterHi there,
So digging into this we see that the authorization is getting stuck in a loop. Looks like a fix has been made but still needs to be verified it works and released here shortly. I don’t know the exact timeframe the fix will be released but I am marking this ticket as pending fix so you are notified as soon as its complete.
Thanks,
BrendanJune 14, 2018 at 9:45 am #1553580VictorKeymasterHi There,
Just wanted to let you know that we have been able to solve the Eventbrite connection issue, so you should be able to connect now.
However, I can confirm there is still another issue we have found that prevents you to import your Eventbrite events. The good news is it will be fixed in our next maintenance release next week.
In the meantime, having an Event Aggregator license will allow you to import your events.
I can see you have just gotten an Event Aggregator license so, once we ship a fix next week, if you think you won’t be using your license, you can always as for a full refund via the form in > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
In regards to the locale selection, you will need to install the following extension to have those options available > https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/eventbrite-additional-options/
I hope that helps. Let us know if any follow up questions and once again our apologies for the inconvenience.
Best,

Thanks,
Robb.June 21, 2018 at 4:13 pm #1558771BrendanKeymasterHI Robb,
I do show its on track. Not sure when that will be but it shows its pending release so as soon as its released you will get a message.
Thanks,
