Finally some good news. I have fed back to Zach but wanted to let you know personally – the patch we received Friday appears to have fixed the category slug problem.
I have requested feedback/confirmation from client.
If positive, what are the next steps to ensuring everything is OK as far as general QA/ full release? Would prefer not to launch a live site running nightly/alpha/beta releases of code.
Many thanks,
Greg

That is awesome news indeed! Let us know how that goes.
To answer your question, these patches will be part of 4.3.1 (the next maintenance release).
As you might guess, there are other fixes that are supposed to be released at the same time. This means that they have to undergo QA as well.
With that in mind, the current target is this Wednesday (more or less a couple of days if things don’t go well). So definitely very soon.Have a great day!

The Events Calendar Support TeamAugust 23, 2018 at 6:04 pm #1604628Geoff B.MemberGood evening Greg,
Just a quick note to let you know that we have been working hard with the WPML team to increase compatibility between our plugins. You can read all about it here: https://wpml.org/build-multilingual-events-websites-events-calendar-wpml/
Full disclosure, there are still a few things that are not quite to our liking yet (we will iron those out shortly).
In the meantime, I believe you will be glad to see that you can now use the Classic Translation module that fixes almost all issues related to Venues and Organizers (provided you upgrade to the latest version of everything and follow the instructions found in the article – you might have empty WPML’s cache and re-save your permalinks).
Give it a spin and see how you like it.
Have a great day!
