ParticipantThe import tool in event aggregator is timing out. It is not working at all, even directly from a facebook business page.

MemberHi Jon!
Thanks for taking your time to report this.
I can confirm that we’ve recently experienced some issues with our Event Aggregator servers that could have cause delays when previewing your imports as well as failed imports.
We’ve just released a fix to address this issue, so things should be back to normal.
Please try your imports again and let us know if they work on your end.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
Thanks,

ParticipantThanks Victor. Still not fixed. It imported one event. The two facebook pages that I am trying to import events from are:
https://www.facebook.com/grandjunctionbrewing
and
https://www.facebook.com/grandjunctionbrewingtaproom
You will see that the grandjunctionbrewing page has 50+ events. The only event that imported was Rock The Junction on May 19th. None of the live music or live trivia events imported at all. Please help. Brand new to the service and getting a bit frustrated that I can’t get it to work after paying for it.

MemberHi Jon,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
It might take us between 24-48 hrs before we respond to a post as we state here. It generally is significantly faster than that, but really depends on our workload.
The problem with your imports seems to be related to the recent changes Facebook made to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) which are having an affect on Event Aggregator users.
As a result, some Facebook imports that previously worked are not currently possible. Further details can be found in the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/
Please let me know if any follow up questions.
Best,
VictorApril 18, 2018 at 1:08 pm #1510605jknightindy
ParticipantWell, the workaround of marking “interested” in an event on my Facebook business page to get it to import into the events calendar no longer works as of today, 4/18/2018. We are now 9 days in from my original post and 6 days from Victor’s reply that I would hear from you in 24-48 hours on 4/12. Please provide concrete answers/solutions to these issues, not just a template response. I think a number of your customers are being extremely patient, but we are quickly approaching the time to initiate full refunds to your clients if this is not resolved very soon. This is a paid service that is simply not working.

MemberHi Jon,
I’m sorry for the confusion with this. I understand your frustration with the Facebook imports.
Please, let me first note that I meant to say that our responses to our help desk threads may take up to 24/48 hours.
Regarding the Facebook imports issue, unfortunately, I can confirm that due to Facebook most recent restrictions Event Aggregator is effectively blocked from importing events from Facebook.
We’ve set up the following page where you can get up-to-date information on the current status of the Event Aggregator’s service > https://theeventscalendar.com/event-aggregator-status/
Imports from other sources should work as expected though, but we understand this may not be the solution you were looking for.
If that’s the case, you can ask for a full refund of your license (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/) or swap your license for another of our plugins.
Don’t hesitate to follow up with any questions you may have.
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
