Facebook Events not working

    Hi, i just installed the new updates of events calendar and the facebook importer. now i have the message:
    “To begin using The Events Calendar: Facebook Events, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.”

    …and the upcoming events widget says: “There are no upcoming events at this time.” but i have a lot of events…

    Hi Stephan,

    Thanks for reaching out, welcome to our support forum. I’m sorry you are having trouble with the update of our plugins. I’ll help you out to complete the update.

    Did you perform the update from the WP Backend? I think a good starting point to get this is right would be to reinstall both plugins manually. The process to do so is described in Manual Updates article from the knowledge base. Can you please do so? It’s quite simple but don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any doubts about it.

    I tryed both… i replaced the files per FTP and i tried in WP backend but always the same message is coming: To begin using The Events Calendar: Facebook Events, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.

    Hey Stephan,

    Thanks for the follow-up. Sorry to hear re-installing those didn’t solve the problem.

    Can you share with me your system information? Please check out the article Sharing your system information for instructions on how to do so. That way we can take a look into installed version numbers.

    Are you running any cache plugin? Can you please go through the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? That way we can discard a conflict with other plugins or with the active theme.

    Facebook Events is working now.
    I installed first facebook events and then the events calendar, i always did it the other way. Now it works.
    But the Event Widget is still not working, it says: There are no upcoming events at this time

    Thanks for the follow-up and glad to hear you could make it work!

    Regarding the widget issue: Can you delete it from your sidebar and add it again? Are you sure you have events to show?
    Could you go through the steps described in the Testing for conflicts guide? Do you have a URL you can share with me to see the site?

    Hey Stephan,

    Thanks for the follow-up!

    Couldn’t reach the site’s front-end via the URL you provided, a maintenance sign is showing there. Also deleted the credentials you sent as we are not allowed to login into client sites.

    Could you go trough the testing for conflicts guide? Have you tried deleting it and adding it back again?

    Please let me know about how this goes and I’ll continue to dig into issue,

    The problem was in my template folder. I had to oerwrite the list-widget.php file…
